Poor software, bad art, chintzy sound, Bad flippers, bad pop bumper mechs and other issues.

They just aren't I the same universe as far as the Williams stuff. I do like some of the games like jurrasic park.

The reputation of these games have improved in recent years as more people have had to "settle" for them.

    Quoted from Swainer80:

    Haters gunna hate.
Yes, DE was definitely riding B/W's coat tails and trailing them in most departments but dammit most of them are fun to play anyway. All the pinball snobs can go play their A-listers and photo-shopped playfields.

    B/W games don't have photo-shopped playfields.

Why do people insist on calling Sega pins Data East?

They aren't. Different management, different quality.

I find the Sega games to seem way crappier than the DE stuff.

    Quoted from TheLaw:

Somehow the art is far worse.

    The sound too.

    And they just feel cheaper.

DE games always felt like a cost-cutting company compared to Williams/Bally. Sega took it to a new level that took several years for them to recover from as Stern.

    Quoted from ezdoesit-tn:

Absolutely love my TFTC pin! Here is a playfield shot. I have a soft spot for horror themed pinballs and this by far takes the cake! I also enjoy other DE titles, like Tommy and Phantom. No, they are not a B/W pinball but they are not suppose to be... I enjoy them just the same.

Why does every thread around here turn into show and tell? We all know what a TFTC playfield looks like.

I will say your taste in GI lighting is is ...uh...interesting.
