What's better than MM remakes? A "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" pin!
The movie came out in 1975. Every D&D nerd from that point on has seen this movie multiple times. The lines are memorized and quoted ad nauseum.
There is a French castle that catapults cows and other animals - even the Trojan Rabbit - at attackers.
Classic scenes include:
- the Black Knight ("It's just a flesh wound"
- Dennis ("Come and see the violence inherent in the system. Help! Help! I'm being repressed!"
- Brave Sir Robin and his minstrels ("When danger reared its ugly head, he bravely turned his tail and fled."
- Swamp Castle ("Let's not bicker and argue over who killed who."
- Soldier with interest in birds ("Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?"
- Knights of the Round Table (song)
- Sir Bedevere ("How do you know she is a witch?"
There are so many more, and there is so much that could be done with this theme.
But more than that, can you imagine walking up to a location and seeing this pin sitting there? You'd just have to walk up to it and play it! It even hits the demographic of home pin ownership perfectly (middle-aged "nerdy" guys with disposable incomes). Sorry, maybe that's just me!
