I hate when people say that Einstein said it, because of course he didn't.

Announcing Vid's Super Mega Bling King Playfield Washers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
These VSMBKPWs are guaranteed to allow torquing to 100 inch pounds, enough pressure to hold even the crappiest inks down to the substrate on your new playfield.
Each brand of printer has it's own super secret ink formula, available only from the printer manufacturer. Unlike consumer grade printers, once you buy a $200,000 Large Format Printer you are locked in to their ink formula forever!
VSMBKPWs overcome the challenges provided by the European ink industry the American way: by sheer force!!!!!!!!!
Made of Alcoa Aircraft Aluminum, these VSMBKPWs are guaranteed to outlast the finish on your playfield.
Counter-bored recesses in two sizes allow both skinny and normal posts to be used without raising the rubber to avoid ball entry.
Available in 7 amazing colors!!!! :
Pooling Purple
Chipping Copper
Gash Gold
Soilent Green
Peeling Pink
Schwarz Black
Botched Blau
Attractively priced at $7 each (5.8€), your $12,000 game is worth it!!!!

Quoted from Sako-TRG:But the manufacturer’s draw you in saying they have isolated and fixed the problem
The problem can't just be **fixed** (unless somebody wants to buy a new $200,000 printer).
Quoted from PinRob:Side note he did save the baby from possibly getting knocked by a falling playfield. Not really sure about having the baby in the video though.
The baby was supposed to prove that he was actually human, by him not immediately eating the child for it's adrenochrome.
As many have previously pointed out online, his stomach bulge makes it appear that he had just been fed, prior to filming the video.
Others have pointed to his family crest, displayed outside their summer palace in Bern, depicts the true reptilian origins.

Am I close?
I once got over 100 with my gallows humor, but I'm not sure what the actual record is.
Quoted from zr11990:You can’t have bare wood. The clear is still going to come off and look like shit.
The clear is not coming off all by itself.
The Ink is lifting from the playfield, and that of course pulls the clear with it
mirco afm playfield (resized).jpgQuoted from zr11990:When I sad that no one listened.
It's not like anyone is going to listen to me either, lol
Quoted from PinMonk:The problem seems to be ink adhesion to the wood with digital printing.
No clearcoat in the world is going to hold down the artwork when the ink is not adhered to the playfield
Silkscreened ink lasts 70 years on a playfield, this digital crap can't make it 7 months.

Nope.
Even unpopulated playfields have started to lift just sitting around in a box, well over a year after production
Quoted from iceman44:What are we talking about here, 2 out of a hundred or 80 out of a 100 that have issues?
If it were only a few, jack would just quietly send out populated playfields before word got out.
You know it's many 100s, and because jack can't afford to replace that many, he does nothing.
Quoted from rapidflipper:Add me to the list of owners with playfield issues. I have an SE, February 2021 build date. I thought my game was unaffected, but ordered clear washers as a precaution for all the trouble spots. Installing them today, I noted significant pooling and split artwork in a number of spots. Ugh...hopefully the washers keep it from getting any worse. Should I submit a support ticket with JJP?
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Yes, submit a ticket right away.
If it starts getting close to the end of charge back limits, call your CC company
Quoted from djsolzs:Do most people buy with CC? My only option was wire transfer through distributor
My MC adds another year to the warranty after the manufacturer warranty expires.
If a distributor told me 'bank wire only' on such a dicy product, I'd tell him to eat cock.
How much are wire transfers in the states?
Are still $40?
I'd rather give the distro a couple hundred for his 2.6% and have the extended warranty and extra protection
Quoted from JodyG:What I don't get...why aren't we seeing threads with a bunch of other non-JJP Mirco-made playfields flaking apart?
Another girl, another planet......

Because it shrinks more, it would probably pull the ink off faster
Quoted from nicoy3k:Why does the ink only seem to lift around some posts? Never seen it lift on an over tightened ball guide or from the ball repeatedly smashing against the playfield. Some posts have issues while others don’t. Obviously there is a serious issue but some of it just doesn’t add up to me....
The slingshot posts are all being pulled towards the center, because of the tension of the rubber.
Mini posts are being pushed by the constant impact
So it's sideways forces pulling up the ink.
I think any impacted posts will eventually lift the ink as time goes on.
In a few years, kids will be sanding the playfields down to whitewoods, and buying Hardtops to hide the damage
Quoted from mostater:Many of us have had to put down a non-refundable deposit. Was that the same with you? Just wondering if your distributor forgave it or worked with you on it, if so.
Distributor refunded my card.
Not that it mattered what payment method I used, he knows more than anyone how extensive the problem is
Quoted from iceman44:And Vid has spoken.
A guy that can fix some messed up shit with the best of them
How old are you Vid? Life is short.
Exactly.
JJP is going to be making GNR for the next decade.
I can wait a year.
As soon as they secure a different playfield supplier, I'll get one without the headache
Quoted from PanzerFreak:Is that confirmed or a rumor / guess at this time?
Dist says soon, so that probably means fall?
He says he has a few dozen customers all chomping at the bit
Quoted from Pinball-Wiz:How much does a non-populated playfield cost JJP or Stern I wonder? Does anyone have any idea? I'm guessing $300? Seems like a cheap way to keep people paying $10K for a game happy..
$200
It would be fun to get a booth at Expo and do a Jersey Junk Playfield theme.
Put a bunch of games on display for everyone to play, so the **quality** is evident for all to see.
That would force JJP to announce the new playfield supplier and give us folks who are waiting to buy a new game a timetable of when it's safe again.
Quoted from screaminr:Love your work Vid , but while we're at it , we should also put a bunch of warped Stern playfields with the art chipping off them as well .
Just to make it a even playfield
Stern, Bally and Williams has replaced any warped playfields that I know of.
