Did you ever think that just maybe, possibly us "rich folks" are also major donors to charities that help society. And also, maybe we have worked our asses off and made sacrifices to create businesses that employ others and better their lives?

I can only speak for myself so here it goes .There’s a 90 day warranty .I started to try to contact the week prior to this deadline and pics sent out to distro before that .There is a obvious problem with a batch or 2 of these PF’s everyone knows it and shit happens no biggie .I will only accept a populated PF swap as a result .I wouldn’t even care if it took a year ,at least with a agreement I can plug the machine in and play it with no worries .I’m sure this will get done as large washers will not cover the area that is chipped in 2 of the areas .Even if they did cover to me would be unacceptable as I see chips as just the starting point and God forbid trying to sell it at any time with that .I really like JJP and they’re games .I plan on being a customer again and again as my time in this hobby moves forward .If for some odd reason this doesn’t work out I can fight with the best of them .I will not go quietly lmao.Cheers to this working out and avoiding drama .It’s honestly as simple as that .

This makes exactly no sense at all. One has nothing to do with the other. Sure we are lucky to be able to afford a 10k toy bit for most of us it’s hard earned money and o damn sure don’t want to spend my hard earned money on a piece of shot that starts falling apart after 10 games and the manufacturer ignores any amd all complaints while counting his cash, and raises the prices to boot.

Hope the best for you in your struggles with a now known non caring company like JJP. Baffling anyone still buys anything from them with their track record, but will be on the lookout for upcoming change and support you in your fight to be made whole. Don’t think this problem is with “only a batch or two.” It is more widespread than imagined into many batches. Only a matter of time for them to be revealed. Black washers won’t get big enough to hide the obvious.

We are in the premier pinball forum discussing the subject matter.

I believe that discussion of playfield issues is important. I am not a buyer, but I am following these issues. All manufacturers, and closely. For the most part.

Wow... Just wow... Listened to Jack and that's it, I'm done with JJP. I won't buy any more of their games NIB, period. I hope they go under at this point, I really do. Blaming the owners for your shitty quality and pathetic customer service is a fucking joke.

I really can't believe I actually heard Jack say that... I had to listen to it twice. Luckily there are plenty of other options out there.

There's a lot of interesting content in that interview including that Steve is completely done with his next Stern game and speculation that his first JJP game could be released in time to compete with each other (only if Stern delays it forever for some reason IMO). He definitely had his dancing shoes on during that response about the playfield question, I think Jonathan wanted to press him on it more but kinda whimped out in the end, probably because he knows Jack can't "really" answer the question anyway. Appparently Ken Cromwell will have an interview podcast with S.R. first, maybe next week, should be interesting.

To me, both the 2019 Expo and new Pinball News podcast responses don't come across as being deeply concerned about customer service and satisfaction. Those clips make me feel pretty good about my decision to never by another JJP game.

Here's some quotes. First off taking care of customers is not sending out a washer kit on a $7k - $12.5k pinball machine of all things. Also, those last few quotes...just wow. JJP and Micro are responsible for the playfield issue. CUSTOMERS ARE NOT TO BLAME! Those pictures Jack have seen of messed up GNR playfields are likely pictures where owners had to install their own washers, mylar, etc AFTER THE DAMAGE ALREADY OCCURED. Blaming the customer, even hinting at it, for this issue is low. This issue is not the customers fault.

"Things happen in pinball"

"We had a reputation for many years of taking care of the customers"

"I'm pretty sure the few people that had problems we've made offers to sell playfields at a special price"

"We've been very accommodating to our customer base and very respectful to them"

"I think possibly there are some playfields where people may have done something to the playfield to cause damage, I don't really know. I've seen some pictures where you know as a technician and someone in the business for dare I say it 46 years I really wonder how to damage a part. Um I don't know and I'm not accusing anybody of anything, I'm not saying anything, I'm just making a casual observance".

Man, I was right there for a while. Leary of Stern for ghosting inserts. Leary of the cab corners. Scared of chipping. But they have fixed things for me as they came up. So I've been very lucky.

What sucks exactly?? Ive owned probably 35 Sterns over the years and have had little to complain about.

Not every game is a winner but overall service and durability has been fine.

The last Stern i owned was my last for my personal collection. GB cabinet was splitting so bad i could see inside the cabinet from the outside. Don’t make up an excuse for that either. There is none. A friend got a Black Knight pro and he had a bad chip in the playfield at the bottom near the apron. Stern told him you will have to live with it. Say what u want, they have their own issues as well.

Didn't have to pay any fee to use credit card on my NIB Star Wars Pro earlier this year.

Wow. Either he is in denial or he truly doesn't understand. That doesn't bode well for them fixing this problem any time soon. Sad state of affairs when the best possible explanation is that he is lying to cover up the problem and working feverishly behind the scenes to fix it.

Sucks that my favorite designer just went to my least favorite pinball company. Oh well.

Thanks, I ended up buying my game directly from JJP , because I wasn't going to pay the 3%.
