Quoted from Plungemaster:Jeeehhhh... Another give us some money topic.
What about all the children dieing of cancer? Nepal? The tens of thousands of refugees in europe?
There is where my money is going!
No question there are much more important things than pinball, but for most people there's got to be a balance between saving the world and enjoying their lives.
If your premise is that donating to pinside is an irresponsible misuse of money because there are more important causes, then why are you here? You should be fundraising or writing editorials! Why pay a quarter to play a game when that quarter could go to a needy charity? You certainly must not *own* any machines because that would be $1000s that should have gone to the needy!
Just because there are more important things in life than Pinside doesn't mean you're irresponsible or uncaring to give a little $$$ to help pay for what you get out of Pinside. If you don't want to give to Pinside, fine, but this holier-than-thou bullshit is...bullshit. Just because people donate to Pinside doesn't mean they don't donate to more important causes as well. (In fact if I had to guess, I'd bet people who freely donate to Pinside are more likely to donate to important causes.)
So please cut the holier-than-thou pose.
