    - Distributors also handle trade in's of used machines which I am sure Stern does not want to deal with.
    - The industry has been set up with manufacturers and distributors for a very long time now. It would really screw up Sterns business model to try to change that now.
    - If they did try to switch, all of the distributors would revolt and stop buying from Stern which probably wouldn't bother JJP at all.
