I also have the pinballbulbs.com kit. It really makes a difference. I just swapped out all the purples for super bright whites... I'm not a big fan of heavy LED colors - I like to just bring out the colors already in the playfield.

You really should give it a chance and play it for a couple hours. The first time I saw WOZ I felt like it was over-packed but once you understand the rules and shots it really all comes together to make a great pin.

I don't know about "better value" but I would say better support + warranty. I have had limited success getting Stern to respond to my support requests for my STLE and they have a very short warranty. I was a little disappointed with Stern support. I'm not saying it's bad - but it could be a lot better.
JJP has excelect support. Sal + Frank + Ken + LTG all kick butt and are willing to spend however much time on the phone to help you through your issue.
Stern = 60 day warranty
JJP = 365+ day warranty
