Not gonna quit the forum or anything, but I'm done selling games here (and donating from sales) as long as this crap persists. Facebook pinball machines for sale group is plenty high visibility.

Quoted from bobukcat:Yeah, FB never has annoying ads.
Not a dozen from the same guy on one page. Works for me.
Quoted from EricHadley:How long could it possibly take to deselect the games the product doesn’t not belong to?
Sounds like there's a special advertiser interface or feature where he gets to blanket every game in the database without individually selecting them. Makes sense for Pinside to offer such a feature, until you see the result. Wouldn't be surprised if Robin is working on a solution as we speak.
Quoted from acebathound:You individually have to add every game that you want to link to your product.
YOU do. But has Robin created a special bulk feature for his high-dollar clients?
Quoted from Zitt:He is making money. His "ads" are being promoted on my worklogs... my homebrew page.
It's not your page, it's Robin's page. If you want a pure, unadulterated presentation of your "worklogs," host your own website.
Quoted from Zitt:That's the whole reason he did it. He saw a popular thread here on Pinside and "added" my game to his ads to generate links and eyeballs.
Lol, it's pretty likely he doesn't even know what your game is. His products are on EVERY game. Last post in your thread was three years ago.
Quoted from Zitt:That's reprehensible.
Nah, it's just annoying.
Quoted from Zitt:3 years ago was when the homebrew was "complete".
But patting yourself on the back will never end.
I don't have anything to add, just wanted to do my part in keeping this thread near the top, because it's hilarious seeing the Pinstadium dude furiously bump his thread over this one. Make him work for it!
Quoted from jrivelli:Don't most places simply ban people for massively abusing a system? You'd be gone in a heartbeat on ebay, facebook etc for tactics like this.
Not if you're eBay's biggest advertiser or seller.
Quoted from PinRob:So now some PinSiders are going to search the backgrounds of the people who sell mods/pinball stuff to us. Come on
Guys with 30,000 posts have a lot of free time.
