Hooked up 2 mods that draw power. First few plays are fine. Then clock broken error started popping up. Now whole game just shuts down and resets after a few plays. I'm a newbie to pins so no idea why this ts happening. Game is in the garage. Could it be the cold? Help.

Sounds like your 5v is on the way out. Start here, and follow the guide exactly:

Besides the above guide for the resets, did your mods blow the 12V fuse (F116)? Is your clock motor running when you boot up the game?

The TZ I am currently babysitting is down due to resets, and I haven't had time to research. Two mods shouldn't tax the system too much I would guess, but I honestly don't know. The reset could be completely unrelated

It's likely coincidental. The resets need to be resolved following the pinwiki guides.

Clock runs and sometimes doesn't stop. Fuses still ok. Should I pull the mods before they fry my boards?

The mods have nothing to do with the problem.

It's a common issue with TZ and other games from the same era. Do some searches on TZ reset and you will find lots of info about it.

Reseat J101, J102, J114 on the driver board and J210 on the MPU first and look for any burnt pins on these connectors.

And reseat the Z-connector between the MPU and power driver board

Yes re-seat those ribbon cables. . .I just got a TZ and man, that game can get finicky if there is a poor connection with the data cables.
