I am curious to hear the reasons you have came to PINBALL EXPO? is it the Seminars, The tour, the tournament, the vendors, the exhibit hall? Or just to meet people and bullshit? Or of you are coming for first time why??

The Korn & Martin of Pinball News, Kim Mr68, Steve Tsubota, The Ram for a burger and beer...... Oh and to see the girls in the Z Plating booth The people, and see the Chicago heavyweights, designers, artists, play some rare games. Seminars.
1. play games I haven't yet (which is dwindling)
2. See the latest hardware (skillshots CPU) and pinball projects (skit-b, pinnovating, ben heck)
3. meetup with people I know
4. Place some points in my PAPA point bucket for $5
I remember one year Kim was wearing a name tag with LTG and ran into Pat Lawlor. Funny story right there Pat never knew what Lloyd looked like.
To see pals and BS. Play in Expo-Brawl.
I used to search out pins I never played as well but after playing close to 1300 different titles that objective is pretty hard to fulfill.

Meet up with people and bullshit. I've been known to spend four days at Expo and not play a single game of pinball.
There might be beer involved too.
I come to bring my sons so they can play machines while I catch up with my pinhead friends. And I enjoy playing a machine or two against them so they can show me they are already better players than their Dad.

This year will be my 13th expo. At this point I'm pretty burned out on seminars, no interest in the banquet (zzz), play too badly to waste my time & money on tourneys, and almost never buy anything from vendors.
But I still love the exhibit hall, bringing games to share with the community, and seeing all my local & visiting pin friends for an exhausting weekend of pinball & bullshitting. My feet hurt on the slow walk back to the car every night (or morning), and I wouldn't have it any other way.
soon will be my first. but i am betting just enjoying pinball as much as everyone else thats there will be enough for this pinhead
Seminars, rarely seen games, Dennis Nordman, Stern Factory tour, Jersey Jack. Now if Elvira was there, that would really be something...
To play machines that I have not played before, and to actually take the time to get some games in, as when I am at home there is always something else that needs to be done and the pins come last. After driving for 440 miles to get there I make sure that the Pins come first. And last but not least, to see you Mike. )
To play pinball. To meet up with people and bullshit.
My group looks forward to this the moment MGC is done.

And who would that be?
SO want to go this year, but it is right in the middle of my 7 days on. I really NEED to get a normal job.
People and BS. I'd probably be OK if there weren't any games there. It's my annual (well, OK, used to be annual, now I'm lucky to make it every 2-3 years...) trip to see all my old friends and catch up.
Hope I can find a way to make it this year!

I'm cool with the idea that everyone wears an LTG name tag this year.
We mostly come to play games we don't see often. Also hope to join in on the expo brawl tournament if registration ever opens up.
