I remember bringing home Metallica and putting 100 plays on it within the first couple days, after some time and adding a lot of machines, I just don't put that many plays on them. As the collection grows, the play counts really go down in my experience. I've sold a few machines that I've played less than 200 games. I think you always have to be careful, but you're really buying condition and the play count should reflect it.

    Quoted from Fezmid:

So I guess the followup is does it really make sense to buy a pin, only to sell it a few months/years later with such a small number of plays?

Lots of learning lessons for me growing a collection to what suits me best. Playing a game a bunch before buying is the best thing to avoid this scenario, although it's not always possible. Having a bunch of cash tied up in something that isn't going to be loved I've found it best to move it out and move on to something different.

No matter how many pins I have, I doubt that there would be more than a combined 1000 plays per year. I just don't have more time to play. The PSVR and Switch actually get more of my time than the entire gameroom.

I was playing on the Oculus Virtual Reality until I got Tendonitis in the wrist from over stressing it. Miss that VR world.
