I have seen this a bunch of times when watching streams...someone cradles the ball in one flipper and triggers the other flipper a bunch of times before shooting. Why?
The vibration from the opposite flipper helps the ball down into cradle position, and reduces it's ability to climb the flipper and fall off the tip
