The repairs were always a problem for me. I have no time nor interest in learning how to repair machines. At least 3 times now I've sold my entire collection (never more than 7 machines) and then started again. Unlike most of you guys, pinball was never one of my main collections.
I liked it better when we used to have parties every few months. We played pinball for a while, then just sat around bullshitting, eating and drinking. Never a problem...never people yelling, name calling or being disrespectful. I've spoken to a few people and we have to get back to more of this....

Quoted from Dayhuff:I'd be fine with that.

Tried the "rent mobile home for vacation" thing. Realized I DON'T want to do that for any extended period.

What would you call a planned pinball retirement community?

    Quoted from blondetall:

I'm here daily just to check in and do secretary stuff, and occasionally chat/meet up with the few great people that I've met from Pinside, but I don't really have a passion for pinball like I did a few years ago.

I hope things get better for you soon....you deserve it! If I was there, a hug you would get!

    Quoted from rotordave:

You have to remember though, that some people just have no inclination to do repairs. They just don't care to learn either, it's just not their bag. Not everyone is mechanically inclined.

    Do we know each other?

    Quoted from NPO:

To me, buying pinball machines and doing repairs is a given; they are not mutually exclusive - they WILL go down and you WILL either learn how to fix them, have deep pockets/friends who will know how to fix it, or sell it and get burned out and leave the hobby.

Lucky I have a couple of these.....

    I enjoy smoking a Montecristo

So, when are we doing this? Come down to my cigar club and let's light a few up!

Only problem is that I landed on my ankle/cafe. Ankle broke in two places and upper part of leg bone just below my knee.

    You need more calcium.....
