Same avatar 15 years and running.
Quoted from RandomGuyOffCL:I thought it was Kenny Rogers
That is a common misconception with Frontier. This dude is super badass and could kill a bear with his bare hands.
Kenny Rogers is just a gambler, and not a veryl good one at that.
Because FaceBook people get bored here.
I changed my avatar once - to honor a fallen Pointy earred guy.

Speaking of which

You’ve also probably owned games that were missing backglasses and translites and not cared.
I first changed mine because I found it to be a coincidence that several others new to Pinside also had a backboard with random lights as their avatar. Since then I’ve never change mine because nothing says pinball like a bunch of shiny pinballs.
PS. I know that my original avatar is the default for every new Pinsider until they change it, so please don’t feel like you need to enlighten me.
I hate when I have to preemptively explain my feeble attempts at bestowing mirth upon others.

Only because they are loaned out for CPR
Quoted from ralphs007:I think it's time to change mine, because it too hard to tell what it is.
3 puppers in front of a christmas tree. its adorbs.
Not only do I not change my avatar, but I also use the same avatar and username on all the other forums I participate in. I like to have consistency across the brand.

You're a brand? Well, isn't that special?
(I heard the Church Lady voice in my head as I typed that last part)
BTW, not attacking you hear, just making light of your comment on personal branding via social forums. All in good fun.
How fitting to see this thread pop up.
Two people have recently changed their avatars as a way to hide themselves. Both of them completely embarrassed themselves on Pinside, one of them by ranting personal threats to several members including the moderators. The other for manipulating a complete NIB machine refund from the manufacturer over a .75 cent broken door latch. It was painful to read both accounts but the good people of Pinside rightfully stood up to them.
On one hand I object to the use of the avatar change in this manner. But on the other hand, it may be a small way for them to learn from their mistakes and reinvent themselves here. And I do believe in second chances as long as the lesson is learned.
I've made regrettable mistakes on Pinside also, but my avatar remains unchanged since day one.
Quoted from RandomGuyOffCL:Well...it’s a short story
Not only do I approve of your recent avatar change, but I laughed out loud when I first saw it.

Although I find your change mildly humorous, I will refrain from further comment so as to prevent someone from exclaiming I'm a racist/being racial, getting on an airplane, flying to my area airport, renting a car, coming to my house, ringing the doorbell, and then providing a free @$$ whipping.
Always fun to have cross-thread talk, IMO.
Not even his best work, was reading the pinball fell on me thread the other day and couldn't breathe laughing when he fell down the stairs limping down on crutches to show the plumber where the hot water system was.
What kind of plumber can't find a fucking hot water system?
