Quoted from ralphcousman:

Tell me how my statement of “haunted house party was the prototype” is wrong.
???
Bill would be the prototype of Star Trek......

Spooky said right in the thread that this was never designed as a different game. It was just a code name for the work in progress because of the licensing requirements.

Oh yea?? I didn't even know what pinball was. I thought this was an acupuncture forum.

Quoted from Mike_J:

From what I’ve seen, it doesn’t look like a 9K pin.

That'd be true since it isn't. That being said, I've seen enough Sterns that don't look like 9k pins as well that ARE 9k pins.

Quoted from seenev:

I was thinking about the under playfield design and how inefficient it is. Instead of making a custom pcb for an area with a lot of leds like you see on any Stern, JJP, cgc, etc. Game, they reuse the same tiny single led board like 30 times. Why? It has to make assembly take longer. My guess is that they cut corners in development and figured it would be cheaper to reuse one board a bunch of times instead of developing custom boards. The more I look at this game the more it just looks cheap.

and cheaper and less impactful than replacing one of those stern nodes...but..sure..

The playfield sucks and doesn’t match the series

I'm curious to your reasoning there. I do think it matches the series...

Quoted from ralphcousman:

The artist that did the playfield is not the main artist for the show. From his website a lot of the art work is very pastel and “trippy” which is ok but to say the playfield color palette matches the series is laughable. Should have went with another artist. The playfield is freaking pink and yellow. And it’s just characters thrown about and stuff from the title sequence. No depth to knowledge of the series shown in the artwork. Big disconnect.
I have a rick and morty tattoo! Wanted this machine sooo bad but that playfield art will never be in my lineup.

Interesting. Seems really odd they didn't go with the show artist (money I suppose), but you would have thought they'd be using soley assets from the show. The cab art seems pretty spot on though.

You and me both. I keep getting emails to sign up to get my 20 bucks. I keep ignoring it for now.

LOL yea, in the back of my mind I keep thinking that $1 surcharge is just another way for them to milk more money.

Quoted from Azmodeus:

I am a player not a buyer. That is the Bottom line truth. I look forward to playing spooky for a long time to come. Decades.
But I will be watching others buy and playing thier games. I'm quite happy in this role.

Not a damn thing wrong with that.

Quoted from Shapiru:

Because the writers of the show have been shown to trend to the pedo side of life. Look it up.

Guess we know who this guy actually is now.

I assumed it was the guy who got ejected from this and the other thread under a different account.
