The newest Stern game sure looks cool (Munsters).

But it may not be finished for a while (based on historical data).

I don’t want to sit on the NIB sidelines waiting to see how Munsters shakes out so maybe Maiden is in my future!

So to the previous owners & those about to be previous owners I ask “Why did you sell Maiden?”

(Playing in a home environment is so different than on location. Stern making multiple models also makes it hard to judge a game on route because it’s not apples to apples if you don’t have access to all tiers. This is why I’m asking you guys - the ones who play in a home environment)

Cheerleaders

Everywhere

As far as the eye can see

Where are the Maiden sellers?

When I bought TWD no one warned me the game would reset during Horde & it's insert wasn't programmed.

I felt slighted for sure.

Not looking to experience that again so I figured I could maybe PM the OP's of archived marketplace listings or start a thread instead.

So it sounds like the auto launch & 2 captive ball mechs are troubled.

Anything else not disclosed?

Maybe this thread should be titled -- Why didn't you sell Maiden?

Yeah I decided to PM the OP of an archived marketplace ad to get the real deal

I may PM a few more but the very first answer confirmed my suspicions

The owners showing their Maiden love here is fine. I understand the excitement. It doesn’t answer my question but it’s fun banter.

Which were...…?

Great game but constant adjusting required

Quoted from MikeS:

I might just be lucky but my Pro has required zero adjusting. It's been the most maintenance free game I've ever owned. I don't think I've even ever had a stuck ball.

That’s unsurprising actually

The troubled mechs are specific to the Premium/LE

I’m tempted to buy Munsters Premium & Maiden Pro

Quoted from hocuslocus:

Took me forever to adjust mine to where the stupid orb ball hit every time.
the auto launch wasn't any easier, it's still off sometimes (but hit's a 90% average)
luckily I never had issues with the mummy lock.
I didn't hear this complaint to much (maybe because other didn't notice or some games were fine)
the loops didn't register 100% of the time. I had to add spacers to the bottom of the loop optos.
I recently saw a kit for sale on one of the pinball sites for this issue.

Your story is exactly what I worry about. Thank you for sharing your experiences.

Quoted from pinnyheadhead:

Maybe it is just hard to find folks who didnt like their Maidnen, P Dub. If you keep hunting and searching you may find a couple more. GLWTH!
Look just buy a HUO IMDN once one comes up. HUO on a top 10 game is a safe bet. Pro is fine. Less features, but less features to mess with. MUN looks good also. Choices!

I hear ya man. Pro seems to be less trouble/work & priced nicely. Maybe I will take your advice & buy a HUO one if a good price pops up.

I like to imagine my shots a bit creatively though. To me, Trooper is the balls charging the field, mariner is is shooting down the albatross and the new aces high is like one balls is a fighter pilot doing a barrel roll over the other. My brain works in weird ways though

Your post is a reminder to us all that marijuana is legal in Canada

Quoted from Fytr:

Dude it’s pinball! I can’t relate to people who buy a pinball machine expecting never to lift the playfield. It’s not a Toyota, it’s a Stern.
I love tinkering with my games almost as much as I like playing them.
And you know what makes a lady look at you with that special something in her eyes? Popping the glass and adjusting her captive balls...
Owning a pinball machine is like owning a boat. Of course the battery is going to be dead the first time you go to use it on your vacation - it’s a boat!
F*cking boats...

Some adjusting is fine.

Endless readjusting however is unwelcome.

If I want drama I will buy a Land Rover & STTNG.

A number of folks in this thread who chimed in before saying they didn’t sell Maiden have since sold Maiden.

With all the PF drama on new games, pooling vs thin clear, I’m considering adding a HUO Maiden instead of a NIB Elvira or Jurassic.

Anyone want to share their experiences & why the sold?

Quoted from pickleric:

I’m trying to decide if upgrading to a premium from a pro is worth it. Love the game.

I’m torn on Pro vs Premium too

For 90% of the titles out there it seems Pro owners always say “get the Pro, the extra features aren’t worth it” while Premium/LE owners say “the extra features are a game changer, get the Premium.

So sir I ask you... what feature(s) are pushing you to consider upgrading?

Still got mine! Amazing Pin.
If i were you, i’d Sell Aerosmith Pro and replace it with IMDN Pro. Now that’s a huge upgrade worth doing.
I have my eyes on JP2 but i still havent played one and i want to see what the code/rules are like at 1.00.

It's unpopular to say but I really dig AS so it's not for sale fran sassssss

The art, toy box, animations, cliched simple to understand difficult to master code/layout. I know EXACTLY what to do when playing AS but FFS I never can do it (Iron Man 'ish)

Beautiful art. The music isn't my favorite but it sucks less pole than Maiden.

I've fully decided to abandon Maiden & instead focus on JP which looks like maiden on steroids!
