On my mid-70's Gottliebs, relays are often mounted using rubber grommets so that they can move a bit. My question is why is this the case?
So they operate better like this? Is it to dampen sound? So that nudging has a bit less chance to transfer to and possible activate relay switches? Anti-cheat?
Your thoughts appreciated as trying to understand the motivation behind design - thanks.
