At least it's an auction. This will fetch what the market is willing to pay. Other's might list it at some ridiculous BIN price, like $3900....and then keep relisting it over and over.

Quoted from PanzerFreak:I would recommend certified pre owned then.
Yes, just did this last year. I've been buying used for some time, and my cars have been paid off for a number of years, so this is weird getting used to having a payment again.
Quoted from t2:I always found Boston pinball prices to be wayyyyy off of actual prices. Never understood where they get their info. Pinpedia or Pinside are way closer to reality. At least in my area.
They get data from EBay sales... There are a few points to make: First, BPs lumping all sales together worldwide, so there is no regional distinctions. Ebay sales tend to be skewed to the high side because of retail sales and the nature of auctioning. It has its limitations, but there is little data to begin with. You won't find a record of most of my sales anywhere. Boston Pinball may be a very rough measuring stick, but does show records of some real pinball sale history... How many were sold, high and low sales, etc. But- it does not portray conditions of those sales either
Quoted from clone97:Well anyway... If I got thousands more than the game is apparently worth doesn't mean im going to sell it to some douche in Boston who thinks it only worth pennies on the dollar.
