Oda Mae Brown "you in danger, girl" multiball?

    #4 5 years ago

Oh man... ritual mini wizard modes where you unlock a new Papa and songs from progressively newer albums get added would be killer. But I presume we'd instead probably get rats looping over and over on a re-skinned Whoa Nelly

    #5 5 years ago

But yeah, hey Spooky I'd totally buy this... make it happen OK?

Am I so out of touch with pop culture that I have no idea who "GHOST" is?

    #8 5 years ago

No idea who they are. . . but at least the artwork could look interesting.

A band that via visual appearance appears to be death metal ...

But when you hear them they sound more like 80s Foreigner.

Also, every song is literally about worshipping Satan. It's pure genius. Fake and corny as hell, but absolutely brilliant showmanship.

Exactly. I was like, is that pic the same band I just heard on the radio, which sucks balls, and as you pointed out, and I thought too, it sounds like 80s pop radio Bs.

Showmanship is all it takes in Pinball too. See the new beatles for proof.

Sounds cool and all, but hasn't this already been done (by multiple bands)?

    #16 5 years ago

I'd be in for a Ghost pin. I'm tempted to swap in a Ghost song or 2 on Met to get just a taste of what it would feel like...

Yes of course. It’s rock n roll! But nobody has taken it to this level of kitsch and production. Check out a couple of tunes or live videos, definitely not for everybody. I think they put on a good show and write catchy tunes.

Rats is not rock and roll, and if this is their sound, they should do what they can to meet Satan sooner, rather than later. If there was a Satan that is.

I’ll go with blue oyster cult.

I really like it and have since I saw their first US show ever back in 2010 at a tiny club.

Theatric, melodic heavy rock. In service of Satan. What’s not to like?

Excellent songwriting and craft. Just great

Rats is atrocious and the video is even worse. No argument from this guy here! These dudes clearly do lot believe in Satan either and are just taking the piss ... so don’t really see any Satanic homecomings in their future afterlifes

I guess I'll have to listen to more songs, because if this is heavy rock, kill me!

Guess I hate admitted posers. My bad. Hope you get your Ghost SLESupreme with 80s pop music , with updated art to attract the quasi-metal/80s pop crowd.

No, not the person, but Ghost, the "satirical band pretending to be serious rockers who have a hook that is remenicent of 80s pop bands who people seem to take Seriously" . Like the Monkees I suppose.

Agreed on counts. And as a BOC connoisseur they had me after the first riff. Let the lame cowbell jokes commence!

    #42 5 years ago

Some strange takes on this band.. I think they sound like a 70s semi prog rock band like REO speedwagon.. Definitely not like foreigner.. I find it interesting they are so popular.. I don't find the vocalist all that good.

"On Your Feet Or On Your Knees, Ladies And Gentlemen, The Amazing Blue Oyster Cult!"

Come on people, let's start a movement!

Their sound has developed in a linear fashion, I think. The first album was full-on 70's Sabbath doom metal with Mercyful Fate shifting into BoC territory, which they haunt really well. But they've always had fun with it - covering ABBA, Army of Lovers, the Beatles, Leonard Cohen, Depeche Mode, Echo and the Bunnymen, Roky Erickson, Eurythmics, Pet Shop Boys, etc... Seems to me like they've been studying for their moment in the spotlight for quite some time.
