Just listed today. However, the IP address says Florida?? WTF? It says Chicago on the listing

Anyone?

Good price though at $9,300.

#2 10 years ago

Just click the name and you will have your answer gives his email address.

#3 10 years ago

Someone please explain to me why anyone would spend 10,000 on the le when you can get a premium for 2,500 less and other than some side art and trans light it's the same game. Yes, I know it's an investment. If you truly feel this way then you are a poser, not a true pinhead. No false metal.

Just seems like a scam that's all.

#5 10 years ago

People in this hobby are collectors and it's limited. Is it really worth $3000 more? no but the premium will never raise in value as they can produce it as long as they want, where as the LE might. If you plan to keep the game forever then price doesn't matter.

It's not a scam I'm guessing he put Chicago because it will ship from there.

#8 10 years ago

LE is the one that Collectors will want!

#9 10 years ago

All good answers to my question. I guess then I'm a player, not a collector.

you`re not a sucker. flippers need suckers to survive. suckers thrive on hype that flippers provide.

#11 10 years ago

Flippers will start to show up in droves in the coming weeks.Sorta like the Cicadas.

Why would anyone spend hundreds of thousands on original artwork when you can get a copy that looks just as good for much less? Why spend thousands more on one sportscar when there are equal or better performing sportcars for so much less? Why would anyone spend hundreds or thousands more on a prototype pin when you can get the main run edition for much less? Why buy a Harley Davidson when you can buy a better performing Honda that looks like a HD for less? If you have to ask, you wouldn't understand.

ed, if you could, try and explain how exactly perceived value and product hype effects the suckers proclivity to do the wrong thing at the worst possible time? i am just trying to understand how the suckers mind operates because it is a recipe for failure. you seem well versed in the suckers mentality but can't put it in words.

lets face it, going through life a sucker quite frankly, sucks. apparently they never get a break

I can't speak for Ed, but I, for one, salute the suc... err... early adapters. Thanks to them, prices of pros are kept barely above cost. So operators and us pinball rats who will play damb near anything really make out.

You guys rock! $9300 is an awesome price. Keep up the good work! (and high prices!)

So anyone that's pays more than you think something is worth is a sucker?
It's really quite simple. Anyone that pays what one might consider too much:
A. Wants the game.
B. Can afford it.
Did I put it in simple enough words?

Wow if it's this guy

http://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/will-metallica-be-a-modern-day-afmmm

I'm surprised he's selling before he even gets the game... He's been pumping the game up pretty good in all the MET threads.

He also just visited the factory and saw the LE on the line.
Presumably he also played the Premium.

Maybe he knows something we don't?

You mean the biggest cheerleader and "game pumper-upper" of METALLICA is selling his machine? Say it ain't so? He just went to the factory and played it, correct, was it that bad (not MM)? Or did he buy multiples and pump up the title to help his resale?

You know, threads claiming MET will be the next AFM or MM like this one?

http://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/will-metallica-be-a-modern-day-afmmm

Or "will Met be better than AC/DC" (more pumping up)

http://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/will-metallica-be-better-then-acdc

WOW.

Because they can. It's a free market. The minute anyone, hobbiest, collector, your in-laws, the government starts telling you what you can and can't spend your money on, you're screwed. Which would you rather have? A free market where sales determine value, or a controlled market where there is a cap? Every hobby with collectables goes through the very same thing, whether it's baseball cards, stamps, dolls, toys, action figures, or cars.

Maybe he's EZ Sleezee, pump and dump specialist......pathetic

#25 10 years ago

I'm all about the free market. The Metallica le has nothing going for it to make it stand out like the tron le did. Just my 2 cents. That coupled with the fact that people are flipping them with out ever playing them . It's their game and their money that can do as they wish. I play games because pinball to me is one of the greatest things ever made.

i am still in shock that the biggest metallica pumper would sell his le. i guess he must know something we don't and is bailing out before the mad rush to the exits?

#27 10 years ago

More pumping

http://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/metallica-le-back-glass-video

I say more power to him if he wants to bail out, it's his game, but at least be up front about it. His cheerleading is almost comical at this point.

#36 10 years ago

That other dude wants $$13,000 for his, so AV8s is a good deal! Mine aint going nowhere!

#37 10 years ago

yeah, his posts will be forever nothing more than a way to hype whatever it is he is trying to flip in my mind now. that is probably inaccurate on my behalf but it looks pretty greasy and now i have a perception of him in a less than flattering light.

oh well, back to sttng

#38 10 years ago

I think he may have realized he wanted the Pro version and the Premium.
