If Stern's Luci looked like the one from that bottom picture I would be buying one.

Interesting. I didn't know that either.

The second image isn't an old concert flyer, it's fan art by Renato da Silva Cunha, obviously based off of what Stern did, since he drew it in 2015, and Luci version is from 2013.

He even tags Luci in a later post for it: https://www.flickr.com/photos/renatodsc/17654860752

So no, the Stern design isn't based on some old concert art. The idea of devil ladies and ACDC isn't new, when I did Helen I was partially inspired by Coop, and obviously your first flyer is legit too. Just pointing out that the pink woman version isn't from something vintage.

Aurich is correct.

That is a repro concert flyer. A fake. The type you see in the tourist stores.

A simple google will show you that the band wasn’t even in the USA on that date.

The second picture is fan art.

Luci has nothing to do with AC/DC at all.

so wait, New Zealander's are required to take one year of 'AC/DC' in elementary school, too?

Luci is just some original art produced by stern based loosely on some previous ac/dc art concepts with some hot girls with horn.

In typical pinside fashion we ask for original stuff, but when they do it people still find reasons to bitch about it.

Yep. Sorta

AC/DC were the band that got me into heavier music. Actually, seeing Led Zeppelin play Stairway on TV at 11 (we didn’t have a tv when I was young) blew my mind and got me into rock, but AC/DC made me go get an electric guitar and start playing it at 12.

My first rock book was probably the first AC/DC book, I got it in the early 80s and it was all about the Vanda/young albums and AC/DC playing all the clubs across Australia. I still remember it, it has a red cover and is probably at my parents house somewhere.

Plus add in all the Kerrang mags imported from the UK (no internet in the 80s!) read cover to cover ten times each, and the heavy music knowledge base is pretty good.
