I was just joking about having many machines for sale but if I did they would be going to this sale. It is always better to try to buy right after the Spring sales. In the past the auction was the first week of Dec allowing three weeks to stock the dealers showroom. If they didnt sell the dealers could take them back in Jan with little loss. If the dealers do not but they risk having nothing in the showrooms to sell, this prices have always seemed to be higher for the Dec auction.

I live 10 minutes from the fairgrounds so I'll definitely be there.

Locals are always the worst with hotel recommendations. That really depends on whether you're a Motel 6 kinda person (like myself) or if you (or more likely the wife) wants something a bit nicer. The fairgrounds are next to the Wake Forest stadium so there are several low rent hotels nearby.

Restaurants, on the other hand, I can definitely help out with. My favorite place to take folks from out-of-town is River Birch Lodge. It's an awesome local place to eat started by locals with a very local clientele (local enough for ya?). The food is top-notch and varies seasonally. http://www.riverbirchlodge.com/

Change of plans for me, I won't be able to make it unfortunately. My kids are sick, and I think it's moving over to me and my wife.

Yeah, I'm pretty bummed about missing it. I had a couple of things I was looking to buy too.

What time does the auction start?

I'll be at the Orlando auction. We even have the reality show Baggage Battles at the auction so it will probably be even crappier. The Winston/Salem guys were probably smart enough to tell them no they can't film there. I've never even heard of Baggage Battles.

How do you guys feel about the Kingsport auctions moving to Sevierville? Alternating between Kingsport and W/S always seemed a bit redundant to me. Tho I'm sure if I lived in Kingsport or Western NC I wouldn't complain This will be more convenient for the Nashville and Atlanta crew I'm thinking. Hopefully it catches on!

I bought this pin new back in 1995 and have enjoyed it so much thru the years. I would never sell but I did find a true HUO from one of the workers back from the Williams days and a trade was done so I now have an even nicer one. Mine was lightly routed from 1995 to 1999 in two mall locations and then retired to my garage and now it lives in my birthday party room where it is climate controlled. It makes about a dollar a month so its better than HUO now.
