Nobody is gonna step up because this year-old article is nonsense.

Tim isn't actually actively looking to retire or get someone to take this over.

    #4 2 years ago

    Does he drug test?

    #5 2 years ago

Fewer than 2 illegal substances found == fail

    #6 2 years ago

Damn it, gotta check the dates! I thought this was fresh

    #7 2 years ago

No worries, the offer probably expired before the article was even written anyways (or meaning it was probably never valid)

    Otaku,

Sometimes opportunity can stare a person in the face, and the person does not see it. This has you written all over it. Sell a couple of your machines, buy a plane or bus ticket to LV, make friends with Tim, then once you've saved a few dollars, have your collection shipped to LV, and become Tim's apprentice. Sounds like you have the skills to do this. Get a little experience under your belt, use your ears a lot, do every single thing the way the man tells you to do it, and here is your pinball museum.

The USA is still the land of opportunity. Sometimes a person needs to step out of their comfort zone to reach where they want to get to in life. This is so perfect for you. I don't think the timing could ever be better, even though this article is a year old. Nobody has stepped up to the plate yet.

Just so you don't think I'm just blowing smoke. I mortgaged every single thing that I had in my life, moved from Washington state to Maine, just to buy a crappy little 9-hole golf course, which is something I had dreamed about my entire professional career. I got to Maine with everything i owned in a 30 foot truck. I had sold and mortaged every thing else and went all-in. It's a struggle, and there are times I have to scratch and claw just to make payroll, but I've been at it eight years now, and I'm still here. I get up at 4 a.m. every day, work until I can't see anymore, go to sleep, then start over the next day. I am truly living my dream.

Seriously, this is something you could do.

I'm stepping out. Up not so much.

This thread needs an "Is Metal Church's 'Metal Church' the greatest metal song ever written?" pole.

You don't strike me as a Joe Jackson fan, but I'm not one to judge...

    #14 2 years ago

Whenever I hear the words Joe and Jackson put together I immediately feel like fighting.

I mean he was Michael's Dad and he will kick yer ass. Squired by him or not makes no difference.

    #17 2 years ago

Don't you wonder what we'll find?

Whaddya think I been listenin to all night?

    #25 2 years ago

I see where Tito and Jermaine got all their talent. Everybody always says Michael was so soft. Not true. Papa Joe taught him boxing his whole childhood.

    #26 2 years ago

    You aint seen nuthin yet.

    #27 2 years ago

It was at that very concert that I became my dad.

    #28 2 years ago

    I'd rather see Foghat!!!

    #29 2 years ago

    #33 2 years ago

    I also like Joe Jackson

This might make a good History Channel series. Tim is interesting enough. Just need a couple clowns, some boobs, a few tats, cool cars, and oh yeah, pinball machines. I'd watch it.

When I first read that, I thought it read: "It was at that very concert that I became a dad".

And then thought, wow now that's some daring concert hi jinks right there!

    #39 2 years ago

It wasn't hi jinks. I went to the concert and told my dad. He said "you want to hear the originals?"

Well, it could actually still be relevant if not much has changed in the past year or so concerning addressing the issues & needs.

Has anyone been out to PHOF lately? How are things going out there? Are most of the machines operating nicely?
Are there enough employees to keep an eye on things and maintain machines on a daily basis?

Do they have a good stereo system installed and a part-time DJ of Gryszzz's caliber playing high energy rock & roll and metal to keep pinball players pumped up while at PHOF?
