Even the creator, Alan Moore, said that the Wachowski’s mutilated, and butchered his story. They changed ALL the characters and made it a US-centric political hack job.
I enjoy V for Vendetta and the action scenes, especially the final fight is bad to the bone! But phenomenal choreography alone doesn’t prop up a shite story. Matrix: Reloaded being a relevant example. More fights, bigger fights, more “powers” on display, movie was still a stinker because the story lost its way and forgot what it was about.
