Who Damn`it. Recently put new batteries in.

The "battery holder" seems to have some stains on it from earlier batteries...

Could there be damage on the board?
But... Its a WPC-S, so the battery holder thing is separated-
to its own level - by plastics yes? If so would leakage be an issue with WPC-S in the same way?

Any help - much appreciated !

Best regards

It definitely could be a problem. Do you have pics?

Put a meter on it too, see if battery power is getting onto the board.

LTG : )

Looks like some leakage yes.
Pics attached.

But on this type of elevated battery holder, cant i just replace the thing? Would it have affected anything else?

Have not gotten the chance to put the meter on it yet.

Best regards
M

Pop that battery holder off the plastic holders and inspect that holder a little better like the underside as well. Might just have to get a new holder.

I took the battery holder off.
No visible damage on cpu board as far as i can tell.
Pics attached.

Is it possible to clean this thing or do i need to replace it ?
Have not checked with meter yet, will soon.

I cannot find a replacement for "A-17643 Battery Holder PCB Assy." thats for sale.
Any tips on where to find one?

J212 needs to be replaced as alkaline leaked onto it, header may be damaged as well.

Make sure you wash the board really well once you remove the battery and holder, and then never use alkaline batteries in it again.
