I keep hearing about nothing but the price on this game, so let me play devils advocate I really wish people would talk about the game instead of repeat the last 40 people that said it cost too much.

This is an original game (found no where else) done by a great designer and great artist.
This is a limited run complete with custom crate, etc. It is unlike any pinball ever created.
It's running a new pinball control system.
(Remember, someone had to pay for the new parts to make this game and you lose all discounts for a low production so you have to have a higher price to recoup costs.)

It is more of a conversation piece, a nostalgia invoking item of days gone by. A 'futuristic EM'.
It is a hybrid game, not a digital game and not an em - its both. It can't be compared strictly with its EM counterpart, nor can it be compared with sam, spike or the pin.

It is not meant to be mainstream.
It is not meant to be comparable to a PRO, LE, Premium. This is more of a custom game.

I am curious how it plays, how the new control system runs and how the game sounds. I assume its all LED lighting?

I applaud Whizbang for creating something truly original and getting Stern to produce it.

Quoted from Flack:

From Stern's FB page, "the game features 10 music tracks and lots of custom speech! The game is running on the brand new SPIKE system. This game is state of the art!"

Wait huh? What about kerry immings control system that was created for the game? Spike is going to run it? If thats so, the. Stern bought the game from whizbang.... Hmmmm

Wait, if spike is running the game how would update it without a display? That doesnt make sense.

Quoted from CactusJack:

Don't you see that Blue LCD display in the score card holder? That's where you will read information from the board set.

The little rectangle in the left apron card area that says next replay? Tha't an lcd display? It's like 1 inch by 2 inches?

I think it looks cool. I hope to play one in Allentown!

Quoted from dirtbag66:

Stern posted a video on Facebook of some guy playing the first machine off the assembly line. His first two balls (ahem) drain and he never even touches one. This prompted me to post "$6500 for that?!?"
My comment has since been removed and I am no longer allowed to post on their page or videos.
Darn.

Some guy? You mean one of the stern programmers, if i recall Jack. Hes not just some guy..

Thank you poster! This is post of the week for me. Bravo and thanks for all the interesting tidbits you were able to find out and ascertain. Can't wait to play this new and unusual hybrid game.

Quoted from ZNET:

Allow me to clarify my description of Whoa Nellie and Continental Café as sharing the same "ruleset." .....
