Very happy to join this rather exclusive club. Got my Melons a week ago and love it. I swapped a Tron Pro for it believe it or not - I absolutely love Tron, but who can resist Melons? There's only three in Australia as far as I know, so feel a bit privileged to be one of those three.

My highest score so far is 8700 (as seen in the picture). Just got that tonight!

Quoted from oldskool1969:

Trying so hard to beat that score! Man it is hard. You set on 3 or 5 ball, on crate and what pitch and power of coils?
The third owner in Aus is here in Perth and we looooooooove this piece of art so much. Fun as buggery too!

Default settings, 5 balls, and I haven't changed the pitch at all from how I received it. It's certainly not steep though, in fact probably as flat as it gets.

I remember when the game first arrived in Australia, it was on location at Coogee Diggers by AMD. On that one I won a competition for highest score set over the first month, which was over 9000. So I at least want to beat that at some stage!

Has anyone put a protector on the gobble hole at all? If so, what and where did you get it? I'm just looking at mine and noticing that's the spot that's getting some wear, but I don't know if there's anything out there that can do anything about it...

Quoted from Fulltilt:

Yes. That spot wears quickly where the ball pops up. PBL had those florescent plastic protectors.
My Gobble hole plastic had started to show a wear spot. The plastic protector worked great to stop it.

Thanks very much for this, I'll check them out!

Yeah I haven't gotten to the third set yet either, but rumour has it that's the 'ultimate' goal.

I have a new high score of 9055, so I'm getting close to clocking it. I'll be giving it a good go this weekend so here's hoping...

Well I got a fair bit of time on my melons over the weekend - I have the sore palms to prove it (from nudging guys, get your minds out of the gutter).

I managed to get the rollovers a second time through and collect at the gobble hole. I can confirm that doing this gives you some new callouts (I won't spoil them), and also changes the 200 point lit up shot to a flashing lit shot that awards 300 per shot (not actually sure the value as I couldn't look up! But the sound dings 3 times instead of 2). The rollovers then continue to flash as if you were trying to complete them a second time. Unfortunately I only managed to collect one more then drained...

So the challenge is still on - collect the rollovers 3 times. It's bloody hard!

I thought I clocked it the other day - I was on around 9900 something, and I'm SURE I saw it go over 9990 and it tick over... But then when I looked up again when my ball drained my final score was 9978. I don't know if something weird happened but that is the recorded final score... A little disappointed!

Oh well, back to the drawing board.

I've never made it to number 3.... Thump'in time!

Interesting hearing the callouts on that 2nd Thumpin' Time, because when I got the 2nd it was a different set of callouts (not used anywhere else in the game either, like these). I wonder how many there are!

Quoted from GAP66:

Hi there guys.
We got our WNBJM NIB back in May 2016 to become the third of only 3 machines that made it to Australia - 2 of which are here in West Aussie (oldskool1969 has the other). Great machine and is not going to leave our collection anytime soon. HS of 5105 on 3 ball with no ball save.
Picked up a Batman toy for a mate the other day and had some fun with the camera - oldskool1969 has already posted one image.

There must be 4 in Australia then. I have one here in Sydney, and there's one up in the Timezone in QLD. Either way, you don't see them very often!

Quoted from oldskool1969:

We are 4 then of the lucky few.
Is the sited one in QLD on the crate? Wonder how much it earns as it was the highest earner in USA for quite a while.
On Pinball Owners .com last count was 17, surely there are more than that globally.
This title is a TRUE limited edition and very, VERY special.
HONEYDEW WHAT?

Yeah I believe it is on the crate. There's no other way to play the game in my opinion. Such a unique package.

I'd be really keen for a print too!

With the release of WNBJM on Pinball Arcade just recently, I reckon a lot of people will now realise what a great game it is and that will drive some demand. My prediction is that it will become much more sought after.
