Any vendors still have a NIB WNBJM and deserve my money? Near msrp and not 10k by Christmas of course.

#215 5 years ago

Yeah I saw. I don't think I even want to bother calling them when on the website it is listed for 9999.99. I called another place with a "floor model" asking for a few pics and if any warranty would still apply. Never heard back.

#217 5 years ago

I buy a lot of parts from Marco as well. I just don't think I would like WNBJM for $10,000. For that price (no offense to the club) Ill go TOTAN or MMR.

So I took a little trip today up to the Saratoga pinball show. A little something followed me home. Do I get to keep it?

So my game room is under renovations as we speak. On Tuesday the spray foam crew comes in and then its sheetrock time. I am going to do my darnedest not to open the box until construction is over just in case. Any ideas if a NIB WNBJM will have the beer cans inside it? Or was that a aftermarket/promo piece like the cardboard standup of Melony Mellon (which I would love to somehow get my hands on one now as well)

#243 5 years ago

I found the plastic Melony and buck off right on top with the instructions. I guess Ill have to dig a bit deeper to find the rest of my loot here in a few days!

#246 5 years ago
Quoted from J85M:

Wow NIB I thought Marco where boasting about having the only one left, nice find and congrates on the new addition.

Yeah thanks. I saved almost 50% of what they were asking as well. Gotta give credit to Pinside for this find.

#249 5 years ago

Just got off the phone with Chas at Stern. They are raiding the warehouse looking for any WNBJM swag hidden away still. They also are more than willing to help me out if/when I open the machine if there is any issues anywhere. That is pretty impressive customer service if you ask me.

#254 5 years ago
Quoted from rennervision:

So my question now is, should I quit while I'm ahead? (Does everyone's kind of look like this at the base?) Or do I have a high probability of getting an even better one that's smooth all over if I try to exchange this?

Dunno. This is mine and it looks very similar. Its smooth all over but has some of the same bubbling issues on yours as well.

Stupid question time: What is the story with this image? Is it a print I can buy somewhere? I think I would like to get a copy of it for my gameroom. Its kind of small pixel size though so it gets pretty blurry fast when I tried to print one out myself. Thanks in advance!

#265 5 years ago

If its not copyright/already produced somewhere, I bet I could get the local print store here to print out sizes as needed if I could get the original creators permission of course if needed for Pinsiders.

#267 5 years ago

Oh good to know. Ive been searching unsuccessfully for days to find any information about it. Now I know what to actually search for

#273 5 years ago

I messaged both Stern and Whizbang hoping to find the answer myself. Also tried to score some fat loots in the form of a cardboard standup or professional photo in the process as well. No luck so far... Just saying someone needs to make these prints professionally! So much potential for game room swag.

#275 5 years ago

Maybe I got confused? I tried the WNBJM Facebook page. I thought that was Whizbang?

#278 5 years ago

Now I feel really dumb... Thanks for rubbing it in guys! Just kidding. On a related note, I did just get a response from the Facebook page. Looks like I have successfully resurrected WNBJM madness because of the Saratoga show ha!

#284 5 years ago

If you can print them out at larger than 11x17 inches, you can officially put me down for a big one!

#290 5 years ago

24" x 36" sounds perfect TheKorn. I have a Jack-Bot and BoP poster that size as well. I think this is going to work out just fine.

#299 5 years ago

I think that's what, 5 different people already? Sounds like its time for some big juicy melons!

#302 5 years ago

Digital pinball you say? Lets make sure everyone knows this is a family friendly game about melon farmers before someone goes and creates an adult mod for it.... Oh wait. Visual Pinball already beat us too it.

I don't have the program installed to get a screenshot. I was looking up WNBJM mods on Google and somehow this popped up. Here is the link to try it out though.

All this rain we have been having has really slowed down my basement dig out/gameroom plan. Give me a month or so and Ill have my WNBJM unboxed and setup next to a virtual pin and Ill show the differences.

#310 5 years ago
Quoted from TheKorn:

Just a follow up... Looks like the poster thing is probably (don't count your chickens before they hatch) going to happen. Just need to hammer out some details with Greg. Main holdup is that Greg is far too busy for his own good, so communication back & forth is just slow.

Can't wait!

Cointaker makes a "warm led kit" for WNBJM. I cannot vouch for it because mine is still sitting in its box. I have 50 cool and 50 warm leds I picked up for another game that I plan on fooling around with once I get mine setup.

2 weeks and no posts? What don't tell me melon madness is over already... Melons!

PM sent. I'm going for the extra large melons 24x36!

#347 5 years ago

Sounds like whoever spearheaded this movement for such a nostalgic piece of pinball art is a marketing genius! I hope he gets his print super quick for such a great idea.

#352 5 years ago

I went out for some Chinese food today for lunch as well as to pick up some groceries. Came back to my driveway to find the FedEx man standing there waiting for me. Check out that packing job. Big Juicy Melons are wrapped up with care and arrived perfectly in one piece. Looks great as well.

Edit: Whats the best way to hang a picture like this?

#356 5 years ago

Yeah I kind of figured thumb tacks were the worst possible idea. Considering I just spent $100 on this of course. Ill keep my eyes peeled for the frame idea. If not Ill just buy a 24x36 frame at Wally World and frame it like any other print.

#361 5 years ago

For that price I picked up one myself. Should I get some plastic or try to find some glass to stick in it as well?

#366 5 years ago

Not exactly WNBJM but on the same topic. I bought that frame listed on Ebay in this thread yesterday Friday the 29th. I just received a shipping conformation with a guaranteed delivery date of October 4th. Ill show off how it looks to everyone as soon as it arrives.

This might work? $36

The frame mentioned here on Ebay finally arrived today. I must say, it looks really good in person. Now I just need a Melony standee and I think I'm set for big juicy melon madness!
