......turned mine on this week, for the first time in 4 months and addicted all over again!
She was covered, and unwrapping those Melons again was like Christmas!
Nice Pic!
Still having as much Fun on this as Ever!
Never gets old, good for 15 minutes of smiles!
Not a battle, just the best of 30 years in 1 game!!!
(1930-1960) (IMO)
Who knows, Dennis or Greg may come to deliver, have dinner, and stay a few weeks!
its what, almost 2 years owning...???
Never boring, Always a smile, and 1 more game fun!
Id call Whoa Nellie the Epiphany Of Pinball!
A game that makes everyone Happy to Play!
Got in an hour last night....As much fun as day 1!
Its so simple, so fun...its a great break from the intensity of my others!
I could never think of selling this game....!
There is nothing like it, and I always have a smile after playing.
One of the best games for the mind and soul, as far as Pinball Time Goes...
Had some non pinball guests over last night...finally set up some games...Whoa Nellie was the only one they wanted to play!
Had a Blast!
All I could think of was post lights, but this or other requires a hole be drilled in playfield.....unless I missed something.
Mine is like the picture, but grey brown in the body stain.
Doesnt matter much, the game is both a beautiful piece of art, and one of my most enjoyable games to play.
Guests seem to play this more then any other game I own.
I always finish a game with a smile.....
Quoted from Bryan_Kelly:I've got one that has never been set up. Not sure how I'd ship it though.
Airline Ticket Seat?
That would be a photo!
3 years now, and the game I turn on most for 15 minutes of Smiles and Fun!
The callouts and music never get old, and the goals are challenging enough to keep me busy!
Id keep an eye out for low priced ones now, maybe second or 3rd owner.....
Smooth and clean.
It is possible someone removed a clear finishing coat?
Id remove, clean, and coat.
But Id also wait for other opinions too.
My Melon pretty much matches your Melon....Its what Low volume/hand made production produces.
Casabas!
i guess we have come full circle.....for some, breasts are not to be seen.....Might lead to dancing!
I wanted to check what bulbs came stock with the game.
I picked mine up from the first owner, and he had added the Laserific Plastics.
Joe was offer, and noticed the one in the back corner, was incorrectly placed, as well
as the reversing of the mushroom lane guide.
Well, Ive never opened the game up in 3 years, and I new it was time for a cleaning....
Changed out the rubbers, and finally moved from Clear 2 SMD, standard Stern, to Frosted Sunlight.
Easier on the eyes, and truer to the color pallet.
My top lanes had red and green bulbs, and the Mushroom Lane had yellow.
Is this Standard for the Game as Shipped?
Heres a Pic.
pasted_image (resized).pngThank You All, for the help! .....I can see they were all white.
I like the richness of the lanes with color. I tried whites between posts, and I guess Im conditioned.
Warm White looked OK too.
I just had a couple bulbs, based on my height and stance, that when clear, just nailed me in the eyes.
Ive yet to find a game that I am comfortable with. in clears....Old man eyes!
If anyone else has done bulb changes, please post some pics!
Quoted from jfesler:I put in all warm whites on mine. Mostly easy, except in the pop bumpers. Those were a b****.
Agree, Its why I went with Sunlight, so I didnt have to change any board LEDs out....
Blends just fine, didnt touch backbox.....but I sure appreciate the link, and hard work you did!
WOW!
This might work? $36
ebay.com link: Craig Frames Bauhaus 1 25 Modern Gray Oak Picture Frame
pasted_image (resized).pngQuoted from DennisNordman:That looks great. I don't think I could make them for that price.
Hi Dennis...!!
Gotta Say....Whoa Nellie will be the last Pin to ever leave my house! Its such a Treat!
Is there a story behind the theme? A link Ive not seen?
Was there every a final game production total that was released?
Thanks for making my life so much better!!!
(LOVE Blackwater!)
After several years, I can safely say, the Game always makes me Happy!
I have no other game out of hundreds in 49 years, that always does this!
Just joy, no matter what kind of a game......
My memory has it that 3+ years ago, Dennis said around 300 games to me in person.
They didnt close production yet, at that time.
Quoted from metwurcht:sorry , but i dont understand . it is possible or not ?
I dont believe it was designed for one, or at least no one has shared that they have added one.
So, if no one can share If they have done it, and you dont see any shaker connections (or ask Stern/Dennis), these folks might have an idea on how to add theirs:
Quoted from Electrocute:I may have played your game if it was at “free play” a few years back. Only game there that made me laugh.
Thanks, but no, that wasnt mine.
I grabbed this when no one wanted them, and 3 went up for sale by one operator.
Theres a couple in Orlando....
To my knowledge those switches are not used, and you should ignore.
If it plays right, and scores/etc off of a switch, they are just extras not coded out.
NIB is unique pricing.
Otherwise the game sells for around $5500 +/-
Its a blast...I have played mine with Joy for 7 years + now.
The sound track, and additional speed make it a unique "EM" Machine.
A Melon shooter, and there were some plastic protectors, but thats it.
Make your own Melon Patch topper, or just enjoy the beautiful wood, and great gameplay.
Quoted from reynolds531:Is the $5500 for a used one?
Yes, used. I doubt there are more than a couple left, NIB.
Check Sales History... Ive seen $5K to $6K, being reasonable.
With Pinflation, Some are asking whatever....
Quoted from rennervision:I've heard the number 300 tossed around.
I heard 300 was the production amount estimate, but slow sales limited it to around 125
Quoted from ToucanF16:Wonder if Stern’s WNBJM aspirations came up short and used the stockpile of parts and pieces to make Primus and Domino’s??
Yes, to my knowledge. I picked mine up, a few months after release, when they werent selling. I asked Dennis, and Greg, at a show about them then, and they shared that number, that "around 100" had sold so far, and they were hoping for better.
At that time, I found a deal, that ran me under $4K, I couldnt resist! It made me hunt for more Wedgeheads and older games from my youth, but the Sound track and speed never came close. I was spoiled, and Always Smile playing this! Always Fun, No frustration.
