First off I don't want this to start out as a kenda thread. Hear me out. I think it's great there are more pinball machine manufactures out there making more games to play. I couldn't be happier. This year seems like there will be more new games being unveiled at expo more then years before. super excited to play new games. poll includes:

Stern: Batman '66
I have dark knight. I think it's a great game. assuming '66 is still a George gomez design. that's his baby as designer. I'm interested into seeing what they do different with a Premium, LE, and super LE. I only remember watching reruns as a kid growing up. No pictures yet. waiting for leaked ones, rumor is all LE's are sold out. Was seen on face book that the official unveiling will be at expo on Oct 14th. Assuming it will be the epic 30th anniversary party with Adam west. maybe sooner. I will be at the party. Also did I mention Stern's first color LCD Finally! expo seminar Oct 13th at 5:00

Heighway: Alien
The much anticipated game to comes to market. I like Aurich work on the playfield even though we haven't seen the the whole game yet. I like how he changed the white triangles. I think he is a good artist and haven't touched the surface of what he is capable of. I heard interactive toys with the game. I hope heighway has there alien tournament at twin peaks again like last year. I won the full throttle tournament last year. I like his drop in design. North america launch scheduled for Oct 13th at 9:30 at expo. I will be there

JJP #3: Pat lawlor game
Jersey jack's 3rd game. I love pat lawlor's games. I have addams family and funhouse. He hasn't came out with a game in almost 10 years, rumor is it is unlicensed. The thing is pat packs as much as he can into game. He will use every square inch of the playfield. Last year he said "he saw the technology in the games jersey jack was producing and he would kill for that horse power working for bally/williams". I can only imagine big things with his game. Rumor from the jersey jack open house is it will be unveiled at expo. And there will be 2 games to play. can any one confirm this? expo seminar scheduled for Oct 13th at 8:00. I will be there

Others manufactures: Will we see something new from Dutch Pinball? or just news about shipping the Big Lebos
PPS/Chicago gaming Next remake. not a new game. old design new technology rumor is Attack from Mars.
Spooky: Will they announce the next game title. I don't think they will have any prototype there but they might reveal the title.
P3 new games?
Updated to included J POP "Houdini"

Please make a vote and leave tasteful comments. Please leave the manufacture bashing out of this. No drama, I don't care about things like time lines, prices, playfield ghosting whatever. We should all be excited to be able to see and play new games. Just included what game your excited to see the most and why? leave things like your coming to expo and look forward to seeing and playing this XXX game for this XXX reason? Just honest answers. My vote is JJP #3 it's been kept a secret for so long and the return of pat lawlor. I have never bought a NIB game before but i might with this one.

Stern 66 easily.

It's really the only thing anybody cares about at all right now.

JJP likely won't have anything to present (and even if they do, see above)

Heighway...let's just say the buzz about that whole thing is kinda quiet right now.

JJP/PL for the win. Easily

#4 7 years ago

I think I will. Hope to have a lot of things done to show them off at Expo. I won't have a booth, but if I can get everything done, I should have something for nearly everyone and you won't have to pay thousands to get it, more in the $100 to $200 ranges. Trying hard to get prototypes worked out for Expo.

I will just say this, when Rob Berk got wind of some stuff I am doing, he tracked me down and nearly forced me to come.

I will be speaking on Friday at 9:15

http://www.pinballexpo.net/seminar.pdf

well, I might not steal the show, but I will have some good bang for the buck.

holding out a sliver of hope for Jpop to show up with something to redeem himself

PPS might if they bring a Cactus Canyon Remake.

Curious to see JJP #3.

#9 7 years ago

Gary Stern will burst in like the Kool-Aid man and literally steal the entire show. Like, he's taking your games home.

Only a bag of cash for his "customers" will redeem him.

#11 7 years ago

Pretty sure jjp will steal the show. Game 3 will be the one where they pull it all together.

Batman will be cool and a close second.

Afmr will be cool but not a new game. Did hear that the next pps game will feature new stuff ie mods that weren't on original.

Dp won't show anything plus I already know their next title and I'm not interested.

Alien should also be cool or at least I really hope it is.

Spooky ain't saying shit til rz is done unless theres another leak.

#12 7 years ago

At 15K for a Batman 66. I would feel as if I just been robbed..... Same thing right ?

#13 7 years ago

Number one for me would be Pat Lawlor (JJP3), then Alien from Heighway. None of the others grab my attention

#14 7 years ago

It's going to be a great show for sure. I'm excited to see all of them but we have waited so long for JJP#3 and Alien, so I'm probably more excited about those. It's going to be interesting to see what happens with Batman 66 priced so high, it might be a chance for some serious competition from the other manufacturers if they can show something compelling. Also interested to see:

-Progress on the Multimorphic P3 as it moves closer to production
-Rosh's Casino game
-The Big Lebowski (I'm guessing there will be a code update before the show)
-Whether there is an appearance from Silver Castle with Timeshock or Circus Maximus with The Pinball Circus (I'm guessing not at this stage)

#15 7 years ago

Alien and Pat Lawlor games are the only things getting me excited for expo.

#16 7 years ago

BOOM -

Alien - hours invested following development and complete game is close to shipping. Should Andrew not being able to reveal the game, there will be a riot.

BUST -

BM66 - everybody wants to see this massively hyped game, but it will still be in development with months left and what is shown will be disappointing.

??? - Unknown

JJP3 - we've many hearing about Pat's game yet have no info to go on. This makes it hard to be excited about.

#17 7 years ago

I'm hoping for some more news/progress on Pinball Circus. Even though it was bare bones last year, that was the game I kept wanting to go back and play!

Oh, and JJP#3. Can't wait!

#18 7 years ago

These are all good choices, but I'm looking forward to seeing the homebrew stuff like Doom and Casino!

#19 7 years ago

I did see that guys doom machine. I think I still have it for snes

#20 7 years ago

The custom games for sure , Casino , Doom , Total Annihilation .

#21 7 years ago

I'd love to see an unexpected manufacturer make an impact like Dutch Pinball did when they showed up with 3 Lebowski prototypes in 2014 + VIP parties and such.

#22 7 years ago

I've got interest in three titles there. I think it will be JJP3 that gets the most buzz. Especially since people not going to Sterns Epic Event may not see Batman66 until late Friday night or Saturday ?

LTG : )

#23 7 years ago

exactly My thoughts JJP3 will be the highlight. pat Lawlor is a amazing designer. I can't wait to see and play a unlicensed game that HE made. No rules, no boundaries'. Just a mad man at work. He is the chuck Norris of pinball

#25 7 years ago

JJP #3 for me!

#26 7 years ago

It will be interesting to see if JJP#3 tries to keep up with Stern pricing madness, or if he prices it quasi-normally as a countermove to Stern - offer a higher quality game at a lower price....could shift sales away if the game is stellar.

#27 7 years ago

I'm mostly looking forward to Alien, but regardless, it's a good time to be into pinball.

#28 7 years ago

This. Could be the Expo when Gottlieb Development LLC announces they are going to build pins again. After all, they are not ogres......

#29 7 years ago
Quoted from Rarehero:

So funny. This question would have had the names of the two companies reversed not long ago.

#30 7 years ago

JJP #3 is going to be it. We know some details (PL design, original theme) but know pretty much nothing more than that. The announcement will get a lot of attention. Could be huge, or a total bust. We will see.

BM66. We know enough at this point. It is what it is. I'm most curious at who gets the SnowfLake Editions.

Alien is what has my attention. The overlap of the CAD and art that Star_Gazer did looks really cool, it seems like a great package. I just hope the skill shot isn't anything like FT. At Texas, I kept hearing Yoshi jumping and couldn't figure out WTF was going on. Then I went to play FT. Oooohhhhh.

I'm not banking on Spooky announcing #3, but wouldn't mind if Charlie's talk was recorded.

#31 7 years ago

I'm guessing whoever shows a new machine that is not a remake or an outdated theme. That should narrow it down quite a bit.

#37 7 years ago

If JJP is an original theme, do we know if Spooky is a licensed title?

Either Im getting bad gossip emails, or there is to be a pin announced off another old TV show.
The PMs Im getting are hinting at The Munsters....we have speculation on the Jetsons, and others....

Making my head spin, as I am excited to go, but not necc. wanting to buy another new pin.

With all the unveiling at Expo.....I hope I can resist!

#38 7 years ago

Stern will steal the show with an offer of free playfield for all Ghostbusters buyers!

Dreaming, but hey!

#39 7 years ago

How bad is your playfield, James?

#40 7 years ago

Honestly I don't know I haven't been in hobby long enough. Does any body know when we've have had multiple games revealed by different manufactures at expo? Is this really the year for pinball. Or is pat Lawlor going to just going to kill it with game number 3

#41 7 years ago

I'm going to set my expectations low for expo and say:

1) JJP will show images of game #3 but will not have a flipping prototype there.

2) Stern may show more information and images of BM66 but also will not have a flipping game there.

3) I think Heighway finished building their first production prototype a couple of weeks ago. I expect they will be working on a few issues and will not have approval from FOX yet, so they will be unable to show anything publically.

4) PPS/Churchill will reveal a prototype AFMr.

I hope I'm just being overly pessimistic, but if these four things come to pass, I think JJP will still create the most buzz with the reveal of Lawlor's machine.

They will have two there.

They will have them at their Epic Event. No idea what the plan is to bring any over to Expo after.

Maybe.

I stand corrected. That is very good news Lloyd.

If Heighway doesn't make it with Alien, I think JJP will take the show. Otherwise, it may be close.

What was it 1996 or 1997? Pinball was thriving....

It's really easy. Keep your money in your pocket. Think about what else you can do with that money. Play pins at shows and on location for only a few dollars at a time. I don't plan on buying another pin ever.

Having access to the VFW collection helps quite a bit. Now, if I could only curtail my German car habit. The service parts prices alone can represent an EM pin almost every time.

Me too. I like really cool mods too. That doesn't help.

Pat is gonna knock it out of the ball park and make JJP a contender.
