Tanked (the fish tank show) just did an episode where they built a video game fish tank for a Father and son with a huge game room and lots of pins. Had to be a pinsider.

No negativity here, just a passing interest.

Most collectors are not on PinSide.
Most collectors are private individuals, and do not wish to be identified, unless for historical or marketing (business) reasons.
The last part is very viable.
Most active true collectors have been in the hobby longer than PinSide has existed.
It also somewhat dependents on what is classified as a "lots of pins", as this is bit relative to both type, age, and number, as this is subjective.

He owns 2 Game Room stores in Las Vegas and has dozens of pins on the floor for sale and also has a large home collection.

Lots of large collectors do read forums, they just do not participate or register.
Reading PinSide is easy, as a person can do the same thing other have on RGP and other forums as well.
It is nothing personal, but periodically I get questions like "do you have a list of people that have this x prototype game"?
Mostly out of interest to try and make offers.
It violates privacy, and I do not like it.
