Just got mine today, looks fantastic. I don't think you can package a play field for shipment any better than Wade does. Worth the wait, top drawer quality. Love restoring these old beauties. For me money has very little to do with it.

Yeah, I doubt I ever get the money out of it if I ever sell SJ, which right now I don't plan to do. It's becoming a favorite game of mine. Repro b/g, plastics, and now playfield to go with the repainted cab. I will say that I think Wade's playfield in my Atlantis actually made the game a bit easier. It was a real dog before. Now, it's just a dog...
Quoted from Topcard:Finally got around to opening mine today. Absolutely outstanding!
Looks so much nicer than the one I'm working on at the moment... and this is after I took off the 30+ year old vinyl...

That one looks like it would easily clean up to be outstanding in its own right. Good luck with it.

I wasn't 100% sure how it was going to look when I picked it up, but it's getting better now I've taken the vinyl and mylar off. It was a little dirty and bubbled and messy, eg:

They got one out of three right:

Amongst the various things done to this machine, at least that hasn't cause permanent damage. For example the drop targets were mounted with a mismatched set of screws, none of which look standard:

Two of those are a bit long. Fortunately the longest will be hidden under the plastic behind the drop targets:

The coil stops on the drop targets don't look standard either?

Maybe I should start my own thread rather than hijacking this one?

Great idea. Do a "My Sky Jump Restoration" thread with pictures of your progress!
Finally unboxed my PF from Wade.
Best packing ever!
Beautiful craftsmanship!

Quoted from ParaBax:Finishing up my swap, underside of the playfield is done except for the pops, should be all downhill from here. Does anyone have a list of the rubber sizes and quantities that they could share?
Quoted from ParaBax:Finished mine last week! Not the most complicated swap, not that I've ever done another one. Maybe 20 hours?
Sure plays great now!
Should have mine soon. Beautiful playfield swap!
Quoted from dynaglide36:Hey Guys does Wade have anymore sky jump play fields left ? I'm looking for one. Thx
I'm pretty sure he's sold out of them. I still have my original, you can have it for the price of shipping if it's better than yours. If you want a picture of the old one drop me a line.
Here's my Wade repro installed. It's just gorgeous.
On the subject of this playfield, a general question for everyone out there. On the repro, there is a hole for a pin underneath the number 1 lane. It's fairly close to the wood rail, just above the green insert. On my original it doesn't have one. Wade said his had a pin there. I looked on IPDB and I see a pin on one picture, no pin on others. It wouldn't be the first time the factory changed horses in midstream and added this.
Does anyone else have an original playfield with a pin in this location?
Hi Sky Jumpers!
There’s one here in NZ that the owners want to restore.
Obviously they’ve missed the boat on the Repro playfields - but does anyone have a good playfield scan?
I can make them a nice overlay and make it happen for them ….
Drop me a message if you can help out a fellow Jumper!
Cheers
