No, unfortunately, my mother gave it away while I was at school because she hated the chimes
It was a Gottlieb Soccer that I had bought at age 15 in 1979 for $200. Who does that??

Collectors yes, I still have my game and still enjoy playing it.
Hoarders NO, unless you have rooms stuffed full of games broken down that cannot be played.
What are the rules to this? My first pin was Elektra and I sold it. I missed it so much I had to buy a nicer example back. It's pretty much my favourite game. So although I sold the one I originally owned, I do still have an Elektra. Does that count?
It's only been a year, but I still have my Hotdoggin. So many memories and so many lessons learned from that old beast.

im not sure haveing the first game gets it to hoarding, but the couple dozen since just might?
First game was a non working monte carlo . Long gone but after spending what seemed like 100s of hours of labour into it I learned alot about fixing machines ,soldering, and board work on it. Got me into the hobby and my love for fixing machines.
GORGAR bought in the early 80's, still have it, It's never leaving, I actually have 2 more, one for sale and one in ready for rehab!
Quoted from 80spit:GORGAR bought in the early 80's
Great game! one of the first (if not the first) pins I remember playing as a kid. The audio of the rapid heartbeat is awesomely nerve racking.
Still have Hot Tip. Bought it from a collector restorer with bad boards and missing a ton of parts. Drivve down to north il picked it up and never looked back. Funny thing is I just refreshed it and sold it to one of my contractors. Only reason is I just picked up a much nicer unit. I plan on touching up the playfeild and auto clearcoating. So I will always have my original title.
Fortytwo
I have the title but not the actual game.BoP.Sold it plus cash for a nicer one, then bought another and a playfield and "frankensteined" them into a CQ BoP.

i should have included this option in the poll...
Pinball Pool. First new machine I ever bought. February 1979, $1895.
Still have it. Currently using it.
LTG : )™
I do!!!! Sorta....
So, back in March 2012 when I very first appeared on Pinside, I met fellow pinsider, Snurdley. Long, long story short, he helped me get through tough "first times" in the hobby and sold me a JM at a great price.

Times got tough, my knowledge was pretty much zero, and JM had to go. At first I didn't miss it, but as years started going by and I got back into the hobby, I started missing JM very much.
Enter fellow pinsider, Timtim, who wanted a BSD, and saw in a previous thread that I regret letting go of JM. Well, he had a JM, and I had a BSD he wanted - so we made a trade.
I have SO enjoyed having this machine again. I have full cabinet decals ready to install when my wife and I purchase our home in a year, and I will have the time, space, and patience to properly do the job (along with the help and know-how of fellow veteran pinsiders). I know we should "never say never", but I really do not see me letting go of this one. It's just a great game - total sleeper - super fast and fun with a "so bad it's good" license and a great cyber-punk theme.
Quoted from MikeTangoIndia:That Mata Hari is sweet!
Thanks! It was the game that started my obsession. I would have a hard time trading it for a NIB.
It was a Stern Wild Fyre, and I sold it to buy my next pin. Reacquired it, sold it again, and have since bought and sold another one. If I had space, I'd gladly pick up another. So...no.
Quoted from PEN:Yep! Mata Hari, now with a new playfield.
I always thought this was a good looking pin. I never really knew what the theme was supposed to be about until I read the back story. I never would have guessed Mata Hari was an exotic dancer, executed for being a spy.
My first pinball machine was magnotron. I was given the pinball from a good friend. It was in his family for years. He said he new i would redo it and give it the attention it needed. It still sets in my playroom and always will. Here is an old pic of it. It is still setting in the same spot.IMG_20140117_141001.jpg
Quoted from cyclone1234:bought a cyclone in 1993 and still have it...then again i have every machine i ever purchased...its hard to let them go
Copy that... I'm in the same boat!
TAF and TOM: both routed and not working very well. I finally got around to restoring both of them this past year. This closing in on ten years. I never really understood the hooplah around TAF. It made more sense to me when it played perfectly. I still have both machines and may sell them in the future.
1st pinball machine I bought was a '74 Gottlieb wedgehead e-m add-a-ball called Free Fall.
Loud knocker on that pin. Thwack!
Kept it for several years, but it is long gone now. Might be in Alabama now, or who knows where it ended up??
2000 First pin, Bally Embryon. $300 non working. Thanks to Clay's guide I rebuilt the power supply, repaired leaking battery damage & got it running. Fun pin & still have it.
If I had the money I would never sell a pin but I have to buy and sell all the time to crawl my way to a good collection on a buget.
Quoted from toasterman04:I bought goldeneye a few years ago, and haven't turned back. I love my Goldeneye, twas my first.... you never forget your first.
goldeneye was my second machine, still here too...
my first was a desw, still here also!
My first was Monster Bash and after all these years it's still the most played machine in my collection!
Yep. A lovely Tommy - I probably overpaid 13 years ago for it, but I lucked out and got a very nice example. When it goes, I am done with pinball. It's not going !
My first was Jubilee, and it's long gone. I always thought I would want to keep my first, but I think the longer you are at pinball, the less likely you are to keep your first...unless....your first is a really good title.
My first I purchased because it was an affordable addition to my gameroom full of arcade games, football, darts, air hockey, and shuffleboard.
