Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Iā€™m a Stones guy but obviously the Beatles are #1. In history.
Bigger than Jesus.

Laughed my ass off on that one!

Quoted from GSones:

Hundreds of years in the future when all but the most scholarly musicologists have forgotten about the Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and the rest of the current pop artists there will still be the Beatles. Their music will, I think, stand the test of time. Whether it's the original versions or covers, the Beatles songs are well crafted. Years back there were thousands of guys banging on pianos but nowadays we know about Bach, Mozart, Beethoven etc.
Don't misunderstand me. I love the Stones and Jimi and Zeppelin and all the rest but the Beatles are in a different category.

Well said! One of the amazing things about the Beatles was the magic between John and Paul. They wrote some of our best music at a breakneck pace. Paul said in a recent interview that they never left a session without the song being finished. John and Paul would work on the song the week before then bring it to the studio and the four of them would bang it out. Sometimes changing the song around or the lyrics but finishing it in one session?! I don't know if I heard that correctly or Paul is fondly remembering the good old days but that seems incredible.
