After just completing 3 pf swaps... I am in need of (at least) 2 more pfs for this game. I know our fav artist Wade has his hands full and wont consider redoing this pf but... I figure if we prepay for 15 we might entice him to do a limited run. If a pf would cost you $800 is there any takers? If I can get 10 people to sign up (ie put $400 down) (dont send me money yet) then I'll front for 5 more (I would probably take 3-4).

They are beautiful

And a big shout out to my buddy Bill W for making me a hoop tool! Makes it easy to set the round wireform

this one is for sale, unfortunately not mine

Thought the minimum # was in the 20 or so. Yes indeed it is an amazing reproduction, and with 3 or more in the queue and likely that way for a 1.5 years, its going to be a while to get another run of this title. BTW, you going to loan or sell that insert tool for ball drain archway? I'll assume it can be used to effectively without damaging, pull it as well.

i will loan out the tool. yea its great for removal too.

Since he's already done this tittle hoping he'd do a smaller run... But yea, even if he agrees it will be awhile

The last K&Qs pinhead52 restored/repainted was stunning. A true work of art.

And the arch tool is very neat. Nice work, Bill.

Since the response has been underwhelming I figured I'd add some pictures of my attempt to repair the pf.

Added some ring inserts, glued them in with 2 part epoxy, then used wood epoxy to bring them flush.

Original holes had a slight bevel. WK pfs do not so going for that look. Next time to get pf restored/clearcoated...

Wade’s playfields are stunning, but it’s very cool to keep the original. That should look good when you're done with the repair. Someday I’ll be doing a similar repair on my game

the middle pic was a wade pf, not my handywork...

If Pinhead52 is collecting the money and it will have a 400$ down payment, if and when you make up your mind I would order one playfield. just lmk.

K&Q is a sub-great game as we know due to art and movie. Game play is not all that, but fun to watch for sure with 4 in-line kickers. Assuming about 10% survived (from what I have seen over the years) and in homes in the US. That makes for about 287 examples that are out there in homes. 2% of the US population is in the DFW area. That means to me there is about 6 units of this title in your area. So look around, and put some CL ads out and you will find nearly 1/2 of the need right in your 'hood. With 28 million people in TX alone, that means you have about 10% of the population of the US is in TX, which bumps the number in your state to an estimated 5 times, or about 30 units of that title in TX. Wow, that is WAY beyond what is required for production to make sense. Its called networking, now get a restoration bug up your butt and move along with connecting to the world about your obsessions.

very good. like I said just let me know when deniro needs to be sent. Ive passed on buying this game because the playfields always sucked. Normally, I wont buy a game with a worn playfield that has bare wood etc. because Im planning on restoring the title. Im no where near the skills you have for fixing playfields.
this could fulfill my "holy grail" to the collection. When the rest of these games are done, I shall retire to just playing pinball.

Yea, there are 85+ games listed in the pinball owners website. Will start spaming there.

Not sure what a handful is, yet I'll guess around 5. With the run already done, and only a few more needed by some select folks this means to me maybe 10-15 are going to be ordered. That puts it a minimum, or highly unlikely. I'm confident WK does not want to have trade bait around unless there is a ROI of 100-200% per unit produced after folks bail out (which seems to be the MO on about 1/3 or 33% of those ordered.) My take, get folks to pony up 100% and walk the talk, and talk the walk. Otherwise, it is unlikely to be justified.

Understood. Was going to collect $400 up front to qualify a buyer

That is about 50% of the price, as I understand its $700 or so now per PF. I would require that as non refundable, no matter. That way folks actually make a commitment and see it to the end, and not stick the artist with buyer's remorse or other excuses like 'I sold it', 'I changed my mind', 'Was too slow in making it', etc. However, and I don't blame him for wanting to do this if he chooses, WK should be the marketer, not the maker only. He deserves the profit for the efforts (which are HUGE) to make this possible regardless of his already running it or not. There are also license considerations and costs involved he should not suffer from when doing this work.

Is there any intrest for Kings and Queens playfield?

Nope... its a shame though. I happen to come across a Wade pf and have a game for it. Someday I'll get to it.

I'm interested, would love to see a small re run of this title!

Wade has done 2 runs of this in the past, doubt if he'll ever do another. I did find an unused Wade pf and shipped it to Switzerland about a month ago...

I just got my sample pf back from a local restorer, came out GREAT. even around the kickout holes... thats always an option.

Where did you get the ring inserts shown in one of your posts above?

The hole liners? PBR but Steve says they will mess with the ball transfer (Im skeptical)

The hoop tool was made by a machinist buddy

I think I’ve gotten to the point in this hobby where I should tell Wade I’ll buy one of his PFs from every run. I’ve never bought one of his PFs because his runs never align with when I purchase the game. It’s not like they ever get less desirable.

I have an early one as well. Not a sample, but an early version playfield.
