Quoted from gliebig:

Hit my favorite local brewery, Sapwood Cellars.
Said what the hell, sampled every one. Every one was A+.
Love this place.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Nice, I like Sapwood too. You must be pretty close to me. I live in Howard County just south of Columbia.

I've stopped by a few times recently but it's been full, so I didn't stay - all of the tables were occupied. I didn't have a lot of time to wait around, only had time for a beer.

Have you been to the Manor Hill Brewery down 108? You no longer need reservations and the place is wide open to bring chairs and sit around outside drinking beer. Pretty good setup for life during Covid.

Quoted from gliebig:

I'm up in Bel Air.
We must've hit the dead hour at Sapwood. Nobody there.
I'll check out Manor Hill. Good brews?

I never had a problem pre-Covid getting into Sapwood, but now since there's no bar seating or standing it seems to fill up faster. Manor Hill is solid with good beers, but it doesn't have the over the top beers that Sapwood does. Manor Hill's real draw would be the farm area to hang out. Since you're up in Bel Air, you have many options like that closer to you - probably not worth a special trip to MH, but if you're in the area worth a stop. I just mentioned it because it's close to Sapwood.

I've been a homebrewer for decades, so I've been around a lot of beer over the years. Many small craft breweries have consistency problems across their lineups and even with the same beer batch to batch, but Sapwood seems to always do a good job - at least with the beers I've sampled.
