Quoted from schudel5:

Center bottle is this year's batch of Triple Mash. Sold out in 5 minutes!
[quoted image]

I always go after the reserve's!!! what is the one on the left? I didn't get that one and I wasn't able to get the triple mash either. During this quarantine stuff I have been busting out some killer old reserves. My favorites have been the coconut rum barrel (4 years old), and Smores (2 years old)
Thursday's have become thirsty Thursday's for me. Play some games and drink some beers as soon as I log off work!! will post some photos.

Quoted from beergut666:

I love Double Two Hearted, it's better than Hopslam in my opinion.

absolutely. it is better but I always get both. seeing some of these beers on here, I wish I could get some of them.

I haven't gone through this whole thread but did anyone post the beer song by psychostick?

Bleh. Way to sweet.

Sounds tasty though

#2305 3 years ago

The Bruery has some of the best stouts!!! Those guys give you that punch you in the face flavor. Coconut macaroon is a killer one.

#2306 3 years ago
Quoted from gliebig:

Hit my favorite brewery tonight.
Great ipa's.[quoted image]

subliminal message with ice cold beer in the background?

#2308 3 years ago

We only get a few of them here and wish we had access to more

#2311 3 years ago

We get some nice doozies in Michigan. Perrin brewing No Rules 15%. New Holland 20th anniversary was 20% avg stout for me has to be over 12% to be good

#2315 3 years ago
Quoted from meSz:

Have you had the New Holland Dragon's Milk Triple Mash (Post 2269 https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/who-likes-beer/page/46#post-5733411)? Comes in at 17% and is one of the best Stouts I have had! A Pinsider is kind enough to get me a few bottles the past few years and ship them to me!
Would love to try the 20th Anniversary! Just love Bourbon Barreled and Old Ale Beers!

I can never get my hands on the triple mash. Just sells out too quick. some stores sell them for 12 per bottle which is bs. I won't pay that. I do love those reserves though. The newest one will age nicely. Picked up a case of it to age. The 20th anniversary was a huge rum punch to the d*ck!!! that sucker was strooooong. I might bust out a no rules tonight. That is one of my favorites.

https://www.perrinbrewing.com/beer/no-rules/#

#2317 3 years ago
Quoted from meSz:

No Rules and MALTED MILK BALL look VERY interesting!
If 12$ is too high for the Triple Mash then you want no part of the Bruery Beers. They're all pretty much 20$ and up per bottle straight from the Bruery! A lot of times I just wish I liked Coors Light

I'm not opposed to pay more for a bottle, but when stores are gouging I pass. I am part of a beer club at a grocery store and I get a 4 pack of the reserve for 16.99. most party stores around here will charge 20.99-24.99. that ain't cool in my book.

and yes malted milk ball is good. you can buy that one at stores but they stopped distributing no rules. brewery only now.

#2320 3 years ago

Hello thirsty Thursday!!! Founders 4 giants ipa 9.2%, abomination brewing midnight snack 2 13.2%, dragons milk reserve scotch barrel dark chocolate marshmallow 12%. All good shit! Got me buzzin nicely!!!

that's a lot of abv ! buzz on

and had a nice bourbon before those too. yeah I was feeling pretty nice last night.

#2332 3 years ago
Quoted from meSz:

[quoted image]

I would love to try this one. No one near by has it

Quoted from mcluvin:

I think Publix has been offering the great B1G1F deals on better beers because of the Covid and lack of demand from restaurants and bars. This week Elysian 6 packs are B1G1F. It packs a punch, but is pretty darn good!
[quoted image]

Space dust is a good one! Wish we had a Publix here

#2336 3 years ago

I haven’t been able to get into sours. Haven’t had to many that I’ve enjoyed. Recommend any?

Quoted from mcluvin:

Yeah, but it is too f'n strong for having more than a couple. I'm liking their Cosmic Haze just fine which is 6%.
In Florida, the Publix Deli has popcorn machines. They make it fresh. Not so in North Carolina. They get the frozen shi*. I like my fresh Public popcorn.

Higher octane is the best way to go! Lol. You get used to it. I like the punch you in the face hoppyness and earthiness from the high octane ones

#2341 3 years ago

now I have had fruited gose and they are meh. had to mix them with another fruit beer to make it taste good.

#2345 3 years ago
Quoted from meSz:

[quoted image]

that sounds tasty!

#2347 3 years ago

Haven’t had a bad stout yet from them. You’re lucky to have access to them

That KBS espresso is a good one!!!

#2354 3 years ago

I wish I had more big bad baptista. that one is good!! CBS is a good one too. How is that sweet liberty

#2360 3 years ago
Quoted from meSz:

BBB and CBS are really easy to find out here. Several places around me have bottles from several years. Case in point is the CBS, that was just purchased the other day and yet it's from a few years ago. I believe it was 2 years ago when they removed the mountie from the label!
Sweet Liberty has too much pineapple in it. Wasn't a fan of it! Same with this one (to much strawberry)...[quoted image]

Ok now that is just showing off! The ocean and a bruery stout! You suck bro!
I need to find some stores that carry more of their stuff. I might have one coconut macaroon left. That ones tasty!

And BOO to the penguins cup!

#2362 3 years ago

Damn that sounds awesome. Yeah the wings suck for the last couple years. We need to rebuild

Gotta nice collection going there. I’m a huge dragons milk reserve fan. Sitting on 3 1/2 cases of different flavors. And a big fan of your mom on French toast by pigeon hill

Quoted from Hench4Life:

Definitely love me some dragons milk, and the beer barrel bourbon is fantastic! Haven't had that pigeon hill..
I have been getting a lot of the NEIPAs from Ferndale Project lately. If you're into a juice bomb, they are turning out some great hazy beer.

I've heard good stuff about ferndale project. Hope to pick some up some time. going to pick up the new flying buffalo variants tomorrow.

Did you score a Founder's advent calendar? I called at least 399times with two different phones and couldn't get through until 1400, and they were sold out..

I did not but from the sounds of it, I am glad I didn't. It's a lot of stuff you can get off the shelf now with maybe 2 or 3 you can't. plus you were going to pay 7 a beer that you can grab off the shelf for 3. dodged a bullet on that one.

Had one this afternoon. Apple wood smoked. This was very tasty. I really enjoyed it! Also had a good hazy ipa which I’ve been drinking a lot of this year

Had my first stout from this brewery last night. Been drinking their cotton candy haze all summer so was hoping this was good. It was very good.

well thirsty thursday may not happen this week lol. wife may want to do some binge watching for new years.

so here is their description on the stout. barrel aged breakfast stout made with coffee, cocoa, oats, and vanilla bean. ABV 11% glad I snagged it when I was at the grocery store earlier.

with it being stout season, I have spent waaaaay to much as I usually do. sad part is I will probably only try one of them and the rest sit in my cellar (aka closet) to age. they probably won't get touched till next year or longer.

Buddy gave me a 6 pack for Christmas. Was canned 11/19. Kinda lost some of its hops

Quoted from Hench4Life:

IF he wasn't just bullshitting, I'll let ya know. How's that dragons milk? About to head to Holiday Market, might see if they have any..

It's good, I like it, but with any dragons milk it needs to age. I picked up 5 4 packs so I will drink one now and age the others. Will probably drink the others over the weekend. I am a big dragons milk reserve fan. just about almost every flavor has been good but some waaaaay better than others.

#2655 3 years ago
Quoted from Hench4Life:

I am usually very pleased with their stuff. I have some room in the stout portion of my cellar, so I'm gonna try to find some. My wife and I usually b-line it to the New Holland tent during beer fest to see what they're poring.. I also LOVE the beer barrel bourbon, that my flask filler!

better go to holiday today. the stores I got them from got them yesterday. Holiday should have it and they always get a decent amount but sell out quickly.

#2657 3 years ago

nice. let me know what you think

#2660 3 years ago
Quoted from Jackontherocks:

Almost bought the Dragans Milk last week but did find 2 Stagg Jrs awhile back it’s good

I personally find that the flavor seems to fall off the longer that I keep them. I still enjoy them, just don't taste as good. I had a coconut fresh at a restaurant and found it to be god like. Bought as much as I could find and would have one every now and then, over time the coconut just got lost.

At first it’s meh. This needs to age and it’ll come through. I know how these age and this’ll be worth the wait!

I paid 13.99 and then found it at the grocery store for 12.99. Oh well, they didn’t have that stout I wanted

Got a new beer fridge and stocked it up with cellar stuff. Still got a few cases so I need to get drinking!

I’ve got to make room. Have 10 bombers and 2 cases of new beer coming! I scored this cooler for free but had to fix it. Cost $37 to fix so not to shabby
So top row is all ipa. Rest are all high octane stouts and porters.

Nice fridge same type as mine, he is older pic, keeps them ice cold

Had to drive to Ohio to scoop this stuff up. When we get it here in the detroit area, stores rape you on the price!

Nice! I had one last week. Pretty tasty stuff

Would love to try some of The Bruery. Don’t see it much around here. Came across the Vermont Sticky Maple once. Passed it up because it was $12 for a pint. Kicking myself for that.

Ask meSz how much those Black Tuesdays are. I’d love one but dang

#2862 2 years ago

I’m with ya

#2868 2 years ago

lol I grabbed a few myself yesterday. I hope they age well. Vanilla tends to go away when aged.

#2870 2 years ago

very nice! how'd you get it? it's a taproom only release now. day of the dragon!!! I grabbed a case of the stroopwafle.

#2872 2 years ago

I like it! has a strong cinnamon.

how did you like triple mash?

#2874 2 years ago

this year was my first. it was distributed but could never get my hands on it. last year they started doing the tap room only.

Yup, holiday... I looked on their site, and they might deliver. Looked like they deliver to Royal Oak on Fridays.

Arvon or holiday? I’ll take a delivery lol

#2902 2 years ago

Thank you brother. For some reason they don’t go to my zip code. I’m in a small black out section lol. Looks like Livonia liquor has it. I’ll need to swing by there and grab some

At least it looks like the sour craze has died down but I still have to navigate through a summer of IPAs [quoted image]

The sour craze is going nuts here! Half the new beers coming out are sours. I just can’t do them. Summer is an awesome time to enjoy a nice hazy citrusy ipa. Although I’ll still do stouts in the summer

I agree. I would be willing to give a review!!!

Quoted from Hench4Life:

Picked up my annual sixer, good but not great. Like Oberon I only need a couple a year. I really wish Best Brown was out all year, I never tire of that delicious offering!

I just bought a case of it. so its just good and not great?

#3064 2 years ago

Ahh I am a dank hophead so I am sure I will like it. I have one of last years left and plan on doing a side by side to see differences lol.

#3066 2 years ago
Quoted from blizz81:

That’s about 10 months too long to let last year’s Hopslam sit to get a decent comparison shot!

you'd be surprised. it's still very good and has been in the fridge since day 1.

#3071 2 years ago

Typical thirsty Thursday but did a comparison of hopslam. Last year and this year. Last year was darker and in my opinion better. Was a good night!

No I was in Ohio over the weekend and scooped it up there.

Quoted from unclerudy:

Anyone willing to trade beer for a pin? I would be willing to let a lot of cellar go if it meant me getting a decent machine.
Here is a pic of my stouts. I started reorganization of the cellar for to some work being done near it, and I have a lot to mention.
Purple wax Assassin, various vintages and versions of BCBS, numerous hunaphu years, and many other sought after bottles. Just the stouts in this pic. I also have a nice selection of barleywine (#BIL) and sours.
[quoted image]

Looking like my cellar. Sounds like you just need to have a tasting game night.

#3092 2 years ago
Quoted from unclerudy:

I am getting my first pin in March. If anyone local wants to invite me over to do so, I'll bring beer.

right on. if it wasn't this day in age with covid, my door would be open. What pin are you getting?

#3098 2 years ago
Quoted from pinballjj:

a gargle of some nice barrel aged stout will protect against covid, let the newb play some pins , did you miss the part where he said he would bring the beer?

if the wife wasn't so high risk, he would be here tonight for thirsty thursday and wouldn't even need to bring beer. I have way to much as it is. I would show the newb the cool pinball community hospitality we have up here

#3215 1 year ago

Going to be in Pittsburgh for 2 days and then ohiopyle area. unfortunately probably won't have time to play any pins but would like to bring some goodies home. I like high octane brews.

Never had their beer but this place is outside of Pittsburgh and has lots of pins.

I think Helicon is near brother in laws and he knows I love pins.

Ohiopyle is a cool area. Have fun!

Thanks, really looking forward to in. bro in law has a cabin on a river and they pull monster trout's. Looking forward to some fishing and chilling.
