Calling off the moderator!
Quoted from EternitytoM83:I was feeling festive last night.

It’s been awhile since I’ve had one.
Quoted from Irishbastard:When you grab a four pack only because of it's brewer and it's can art....then realize it's almost $23 for a four pack, wtf.. Was okay, but not worth that.

I'd have done the same, I'm a sucker for cool can art.

I thought it was a pretty good triple. I didn’t mind the price on it

Mine expires next month, lot of sediment and floaters. Probably better fresh. Wife thought it looked like a lava lamp.
I like the brewery, but a $14 4pk of Heady blows it away any day.

It is a great disappointment to pay a premium for beer and have it taste like shi*. But I guess that's why they do it. Total Wine is a feast for the eyes when it comes to can art.

Usually the more gimmicky the can the more likely the contents suck.
There are exceptions to the rule of course.
This one is pretty decent despite the can.
So many disclaimers, instructions and acknowledgments. Is it a can of beer of an amusement park ride?

Well, I guess it doesn't taste like piss then

Ryanwritesonthings he might piss on them also but hopefully not in them. .

I too have fallen for the old can art trickery. There is some correlation there with good beers and fancy cans though in my opinion.

I check everything on beeradvocate when I'm paying a premium. I've learned that if it isn't at least a 4 there, I'm probably going to know why when I taste it.
I mostly drink Busch Light which is an underrated beer. Usually I can taste the adjuncts in cheap beer. I can't taste them in Busch Light. I know they are there. I just can't taste them. It's perfect...

the stout looks soooo much more appealing!

That's a cool mug!
Quoted from trecemaneras:I recently brewed my first lager, a doppelbock, and this is my first pour. I’m quite pleased with it!
[quoted image]
What’s the taste?
If you haven’t had the opportunity try Andech’s and Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock. Two of the best Doppelbock beers made.

Bonus points for brewing your own. Nothing quite like getting a buzz from something you created from nearly nothing - water, yeast and some grains.

It’s malty and smooth, about 20 IBUs and 8.75% ABV. I had it conditioning for 7 weeks at 32°F, so it's very clean and clear. Belgians are my favorite beers to brew, so I'm more used to lots of funky yeast character. This is the opposite of that, but I'm liking it. I made 10 gallons of it, so I'm excited to see how it ages. It's going to be a few months before I'm into the second keg (hopefully lol). If I'm really disciplined, I might save the second keg for late fall
Thanks for those suggestions, I'll have to keep an eye out for them. I don't buy beer very often though, I like my own too much haha!

It's definitely a rewarding hobby. Even better than getting myself buzzed is sharing with friends! It's a great feeling pouring people my beer from my taps Do you brew as well?

How was this?
Was the anise flavor strong from the absinthe barrel?

I love Firestone PNC. Monks In Philadelphia had a stash of vintage 2013 I believe that we would get on special occasions.
If anyone ever visits Philly and you have time stop in to Monks order some mussels and an amazing draft or special bottle from their great bottle list.
It’s rated as one of the greatest places in the world to have a beer.

Those are amazing! How many different "cards" are there?
Quoted from way2wyrd:I need a case of that . Can trade or cash money
They will be available to order/ship from Ale Industries website ( aleindustries.com ) Tuesday or Wednesday. There are 9 different labels.
Quoted from EternitytoM83:Those are amazing! How many different "cards" are there?
There are 30 different images to be printed as trading cards later in the year when all art is finished. 20 images are complete and available as art prints. IPA Series 1 beer will have 9 different cans/images from the set. Later in the year there will be a different type of beer that is series 2 with different images.
This is a small collaboration brew so you may want to jump on it next week when it launches.

Quoted from ultimategameroom:Did anyone else pick up their Waldo?
Just released in Pa.
My local distributor got 25 cases last year.
This year they got four and I purchased (2).
It sucks that this used to cost only $47 a few years ago. Now it’s $70 !

Such a good beer!

Yeah I was shocked to see it. When I lived back in PA I would drive out to JO and buy sixtel from them. Some very good beers.

You got a mention on Stern's social media.
I'd love to grab some, but unfortunately the shipping costs more than the beer. Ouch!
