Quoted from Bax1:Had my first stout from this brewery last night. Been drinking their cotton candy haze all summer so was hoping this was good. It was very good.

what? , it's not Thursday!!
how much juice?(abv)
well thirsty thursday may not happen this week lol. wife may want to do some binge watching for new years.
so here is their description on the stout. barrel aged breakfast stout made with coffee, cocoa, oats, and vanilla bean. ABV 11% glad I snagged it when I was at the grocery store earlier.
with it being stout season, I have spent waaaaay to much as I usually do. sad part is I will probably only try one of them and the rest sit in my cellar (aka closet) to age. they probably won't get touched till next year or longer.
Quoted from Bax1:Any of you guys use untapped to log your beers?
Yes indeed for many years.
Quoted from Bax1:Any of you guys use untapped to log your beers?
Yes indeed for many years. But it’s untappd.
If anyone wants to buddy up on untappd my id is the same on there. I love to see others ratings when I’m out shopping. Best way to make sure I’m not wasting my money

Brewpub the next town over( prison city Auburn ny) over expanded their operations to a sister site,so now selling 4packs etc.this is a really solid neipa
The pinball sign was a Christmas gift,I had it turned around so it faced the road and like 5 people have knocked on the door with their quarters ready to play!
Quoted from Bax1:Buddy request sent
Accepted, check my list of everything tried, let me know if you have had any and liked
Quoted from Bax1:Checked out some of the stuff logged. A lot I can’t get here but we need to have a talk. This is blasphemy this was the one that got me into hoppy ipas. I still have a couple of the doubles left.

Ok cool, yes had that in a can just did not do much for me as an IPA. I have had a few other Bells beers before which I liked.
They started limited distribution of this is my area; comes out quarterly.
I remember the first time I had one years ago; I thought it was so hoppy and bitter, and didn’t see what the hype was about.
Fast forward to now; it’s really good. The hype train is real. In a world of unbalanced “hop soups”, this is a spectacular beer. The OG for a reason.
Even with all the new exceptional beers out with all the new fangled hop varieties, this still stands out.
Perfectly balanced and nuanced, amazing smell, sweet maltiness, dangerously drinkable. A real IPA drinker’s IPA. I prefer this to every beer from Treehouse I’ve ever had. If this was available like bud light was, I’d be broke and very fat, lol. Top 3 beer for me, no doubt.

It was a good day. 3 of my favorite beers, in a row. Played a few games and finished working on another. Set a GC on a game I’ve had for a while. And I didn’t even have to use my AK.
Cheers!

This years batch of hopslam is bottles. Every time I’ve had it, it’s been cans. Bottles might be due to national can shortage? It was just released here last week
Quoted from meSz:This is awesome.....

Good to see ya posting here Chris n HNY to you n your family!
I joined the Bruery’s Hoarders society this year and am enjoying it. I really like the Bourbon Barreled Beers and they don’t disappoint.
We need to start exchanging again, been too long. At a minimum I will start picking a few of these and send them your way.
