Before we jump further down the wormhole into other hobbies unrelated to pinball, beer, etc...the amount of technology in airguns has been nothing but stunning in the last few years...

As an avid marksman in both combustion propulsion and compressed gas propulsion, the newest PCP's are crazy awesome! Legitimate .22lr power and accuracy, without the report (depending on how you adjust for velocity, as you can still get a sonic "crack" above 1100 or so fps...), and have become shockingly affordable.

Hell, nowadays, for about $500, you can get a Marauder, a cheap tank setup (so you don't have to hand pump), a semi-decent scope, and you can be shooting sub moa out to about 75 yards all day on a single gas charge. Spend a little more, and you can have a world class accurate setup, or a larger caliber, that you could technically hunt game with. A large grain .30 projectile at 1100 fps out of an airgun is still a large grain .30 projectile at 1100 fps...

And since these aren't firearms, you can have them shipped to your door, and you can even fool around with making/fitting a homemade suppressor, only for lawful purposes, of course.

Now back to your regularly scheduled beer talk on a pinball forum

Quoted from Spencer:

Man, I wish I could get a hold of some of these. Love me The Bruery but they are few and far between here. I did manage to secure 4 cans of one, I'll be picking up tomorrow. I wish shipping was a option!

Shipping in the States is hard enough but to Canada would be even more of a challenge!

Quoted from Pinhead306:

I totally agree I would love to try all those Black Tuesday beers.

The Bruery is, was I should say before this whole pandemic started, expanding their distribution so might be opportunity in the future to purchase their stuff.

All the variants for Black Tuesday are made available for the members of the Society that the Bruery offers. IF they don't sellout then, I believe, they're made available to the public.

My brother used to be a top 5 world collector of Jack Daniels stuff. Everything you could think of including full bottles. He would buy/sell on eBay and classify it as " collectible glassware, not for consumption ". He said 99% of his items arrived no problem.

I believe you are right about the Bruery, I had a friend who went and only after hours of drinking and socializing with the staff, telling them where he was from, etc, they became slightly more relaxed and allowed him to try some of the " private brews "

#2204 4 years ago

Grabbed a four pack of these. $12.70 each is a bit steep but getting the Bruery product here is tough. Great beer, a tad sweet but still really good.

Very vanilla and smooth in the mouth, fairly sweet and to me the sweetness does not mesh with the hoppy bitterness of an ipa. I wonder if you took a good ipa and mixed it 50/50 with a cream soda it would end up about like this. Maybe 75/25 or 90/10 or maybe 100/0 might be better?

Just ranting ,overall an interesting and enjoyable one

This is tasty, don't think it is on their regular brew schedule or else I would be drinking this regularly

A solid stout with just a hint of coconut

It's a regular and if you go to the breweries out here they have it on tap with nitro, makes it a real smooth stout.
(note: I should say "when you use to be able to go to the brewery")

#2218 3 years ago

would love to have it on tap with nitro, my guy at the beer cave told me he can't get it anymore!!!

Appears they’re making a variant of it now... https://www.firestonebeer.com/beers/products/mole-merkin

#2220 3 years ago

Thanks for the link ,the regular merlin stout is excellent by itself .this variant might be good (or not),I will look for it the next time I go beer shopping

So as irony would have it.... I go to look at a pinball machine today and it was down the street from FW Brewery so stopped n picked a few up.

The Mole Merkin, not bad. Start out tasting the Chili Pepper and finish with the cinnamon.

If you like wheat beer, Schneider Weiss Original is the best Hefeweizen I'v ever had... pour it into the proper tall glass, take the last 1/2 ounce in the bottle, swish it around and then poor on top... swishing it around collects all the unfiltered goodness, and adding it to the top allows it to blend fantastically. Do NOT drink ultra cold either... cool vs cold unlocks all the great flavor of this beer.

Anyone in the Norfolk, VA area?

Victory 6 packs are B1G1F this week at Publix. I've been wanting to try the Sour Monkey. It's pretty good, though I wouldn't mind a bit more sour. I'm surprised it is 9.5% ABV. I can't taste it.

They still sell it at my Total Wine. I'm kinda surprised that my Publix has 2 of their 9.5% ABV beers, but not that.

All of my Grandparents came to NYC from Czechoslovakia, the Czech part. They put Pilsner in my baby bottle. I know this , because every Czech back then would feed beer to their babies. Saw it with my very eyes.
