I agree on that, the tripel is better imo.
My prefered quadrupel is Rochefort 10, Straffe Hendrik II and Zundert 10.

I have to find the tripel. The Rochefort 10 is excellent, a lot of sediment, but excellent.

I love Hopslam, probably being the first IPA I really truly "liked", and grab 5 or 6 six packs when it's out, and try to limit myself to one or two a week to make it last (I know this goes against what Bell's recommends, but I find little to no difference after a few months stored cold in the beer fridge)…

Now that it's April, and likely not to be seen again until next year, does anyone recommend anything close to it?

I love the sweet, malty, taste, bursting with hops, and higher in gravity; it's awesome!

I like this beer so much, that I've currently got a clone of it brewing now in the fermenter; I found a few different recipes, and combined what I thought would be the best additions to get it close, paying close attention to the hop bill. Starting fermentation at a controlled 62 degrees, and ramping up 1 degree everyday, this thing nearly blew the lid off it was so active.

Being on day 10 now, the airlock has finally just slowed down to a burp every 20 seconds or so; I plan on dry hopping today with 2 oz of Simcoe, letting it sit for 3-5 days until fermentation is completely done and to let the yeast clean everything up, then gelatin fining and cold crashing for 5 days (as there is SO much suspended hop material in this), then bottling.

It smells identical out of the airlock, and the tiny taste I took when I did a gravity reading last night gives me good hope, though my version is slightly darker. This will be the first time I have ever not racked to a secondary; I'm doing everything in primary. If it turns out well, which I believe it will, I may start even bottling from primary in the future, to effectively eliminate any oxidation that could ever occur. So basically Hopslam has not only changed how I look at IPA's, but how I homebrew beer, haha.

One of my all time favorite sippers !
I got lucky and bought this sign a few years ago.
It’s made out of a decommissioned tweak barrel.

My wife recently took up an art hobby due to recent events. She normaly doesn't drink but likes one or two during her art projects.

She has real refined taste and at the moment is looking for, but she can't seem to find in stock, is this Kona Island Spiked Seltzer.

Anybody know where this can be found? Feel free to send me a PM.

I'm surviving on various IPA's at the moment. Enjoying Contact Haze by Elysian.

Staying with the Tuesday theme ... yet another Black Tuesday variant from The Bruery. Spicy Island is a 19.2% Imperial Stout aged in Bourbon Barrels with Pineapples and Habanero Chili Peppers. At first you taste and smell the pineapple but it finishes with the habanero.

Black Tuesday is on my want to try list but I couldn’t bring myself to spend almost $50 for a beer.
What do they sell for on the west coast ?

Not bad but not one of my favorites of the BT variants. Out of the 10th Anniversary box the Pistachio and Samoa were the better of the four variants. The Spicy Island and Blueberry Pancakes, although not bad, are a drink one and move on. The Blueberry was just too much.

Black Tuesday was $30
Black Tuesday Reserve and Two-Year Red Wine Barrel-Aged $35.70

would love to try one , based on the general malt/hop ratio of an imperial stout and the adjuncts in all the variants they seem like they would be on the sweet side , are they?

on a side note :
haven't been too the beer cave lately but picked up a 12 pack of these for 14$ at the grocery store. Nice creamy head and citrusy aroma , tasty but not overly bitter on the tongue , a pretty decent example of a hazy NE IPA at a very drinkable price

That's the one thing I liked about the Bruery Bourbon Beers, they aren't sweet and the flavors aren't overwhelming. The Blueberry Pancake one is opposite, the Blueberry is a little overwhelming and it actually reminded me of cough syrup.

I had this the other night.
No date but I’m pretty sure it’s about 5 years old.
I wish there were more wee heavy /scotch ales available. Must not be a very popular style as they are kind of uncommon in my area other than a couple usual suspects available in bottles like McEwan's and Belhaven.
