Only shine I got.
20190223_205505 (resized).jpgJust opened this after finding it behind another beer on the basement cellar shelf.
It’s amazingly good!
I was afraid that after 10 years it would be skunked but it wasn’t.
Only 8.5 percent but the whiskey undertones are so good...
I own a liquor store with over 150 craft beers. I like beer.
PS. Founders KBS hits this Friday if anyone wants some

KBS is good but I like the CBS a lot more!
You ever get the Goose Island BCBS Rare in? Always wanted one but where I lived it was such a small GI market we never got it!

I was not terribly impressed with the last CBS release. We have had the rare BCBS variants in the past but it is very limited quantities.

Not speaking of the variants, they release a BCBS RARE that comes in a wooden box.
Agree with you on the variants. Not impressed at all. Still thing the regular BCBS is very good and cheaper than any of the variants!

Yes and no..... if you have any extras that you're willing to part with please PM me! The one I was speaking of is ......

Just a word of caution .... watch storing these longer than 5 years. It's been noted that the Bourbon County beers start going bad after 5 years....which stinks as I have a bottle of the regular BCBS going back to 2007
Oh i drank that one lol . I havent seen any of this years. I guess i posted the prop. Might have an extra have to check. Ive found the pre 2010 turn to soy but the 14 15 16 are still great

Yeah the golden rule is 5 years .... appreciate you looking into an extra. Let me know!
Quoted from bob_e:What no green beers for St. Pats day ????
Skipped "Amateur night" today (only third time in 20+yrs)...But, was out with buddies Friday, buddy had green beer, dyed his mouth and fingers green... Funny as F

Very nice! I can’t wait to get my hands on some of those again. So tasty but so hard to get unless you want to spend a lot of money! Any Belgians on here willing to get on the waiting list for me?

Waiting list? My daughter walked into a Belgium establishment and just bought it for me.

That’s awesome! I’ll have to seek out if there’s a place like that around Chicago. Unless they changed something, you can only buy the beer from the monastery itself as they don’t distribute anywhere. And there’s a waiting list to even purchase it, with a case (24 bottle) limit per group at their appointment time. Apparently the wait is months. Plus the monastery only brews enough to cover the costs to keep the place running and nothing more for profit. So once their run is out, it’s out for the year. Your Belgian establishment must have a connection to keep them stocked. Cheers!!
Quoted from trilogybeer:You can come up to Wisconsin and get Belgian beers .
Westvletern?
I prefer to make beer runs to WI for Blatz

Ah ! Hmm ..that I am unsure of . I will have to check a few places to see . I thought you were referring to any of the Belgian Trappist beers being unavailable down there .

To clarify ..... my daughter was in Belgium and just went into an establishment and they had it!
But, a few years ago they actually sold Westvleteren XII here in the States in a package deal. What happened is the Brewery had a fire so in order to raise funds to rebuild the monks allowed it to be sold in the States to raise funds.
There were reports in late 2017 that the beer was coming back to the States but I never heard anything further. I sent the importer an email today to see if this ever happened!

Oh no, there’s plenty of them around here and I’ve had my fair share of them

Which party store do you own?

Isn't it against the law to drink those out of a plastic cup?

I've always been a rule breaker.....
Tumblers make great beer glasses, they keep my hand warm and my beer cold. Or it could have been that I was too lazy to wash the pile of beer glasses beside the sink.
