Quoted from High_End_Pins:

Long day. Prairie Bomb.

Anyone had PAA’s “Apple Brandy Barrel Noir”? I had it a couple of years ago and it was one of the best BA stouts I have ever had. Haven’t seen it in a while, so I sent PAA and email. Apparently the Apple brandy barrels are very hard to come by, but PAA finally scored some last year so we are looking at a release this summer.

Jack’s Abby and Down the Road are local brews. They both have pinball! Actually, I think Jack’s got rid of theirs

I recently found this little bar called the Sneaky Baron at Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast. They have a couple of pinball machines and check out the beers on tap!

Free will brewed this for a local gastro pub. It was released last week. I’m pretty sure it’s the first double barreled stout I’ve had. It’s Amazingly delicious!!!! And it does Not taste like a 16.7% beer at all. Too bad they only brewed 144 bottles...

Got to love it when you have a local sour brew master that does special release sours only sold at a local gas station chain. Only 144 of these bottled.

This is just OK. Doesn't really taste like an IPA to me. Missing the hop bite I would expect. Oh well, 6 packs are B1G1F at Publix this week. It was cheap.

Darklord day? I couldn't go....

Yep, sixth year in a row. Some of the early years were crazy. It's a lot more organized and somewhat safer now. I have no clue how people didn't die in masses at some of the earlier ones from alcohol poisoning. When you see people in a coma state at 9:00 AM you know it's going to be interesting. Last year one dude literally shat himself and fell over in it. I could go without seeing that again this year.

Yeah. Funny how different microbrews all come in the same kinda packaging now. Kudos to Heineken though. That is some nasty f'n beer, but they've owned Lagunitas for about a year now and haven't f'd it up as far as I can tell. Truthfully, I think distribution has gotten better.

I agree, same great beer and from what I have seen just more of it.

Not beer, but I went to the Preakness this weekend. Free food and drinks. Told the waiter to keep the black-eyed susans coming. Needless to say, I brought home a couple souvenir glasses.

Here's a good one to try if you get a chance.

Interestingly, it said bourbon barrels but tasted like rum barrels to me..

Could have been influenced by previous beers though..

6 packs are buy 2 get 1 free at Publix so I decided to give this a try. It’s supposed to be an NEIPA. It feels surprisingly light for 6.7% ABV. I’m tasting a lot of citrus and not so much the hops. It’s good, maybe even very good, but not great. At the regular price, I’ll stick with Lagunitas.

That was batch 16. It was great. A little on the “flat” side in terms of carbonation even for the style but it was smooth and flavorful overall.
I think it was dated good for another 20 years but I think it was already starting to pass its prime now just 4 years in.

That beer is a hazy IPA. I got it on Tavour and was impressed with it.
