jack daniels beer? WhA?

Yes I want to know more about it too

This one is from my hometown... https://www.facebook.com/cervejariacolonus01/

9% alcohol - a very nice malted base and sweet taste, with dry finish and subtle acidity - the JD aroma is really unique!

Beer, I'm about like Homer Simpson. I like beer with out compost in it. Just beer not orange peelings or other stuff that should be decomposed and put in the garden. I do enjoy trying new ones. I think there are 5 different varieties in the game room fridge. It just happens to be that time...
A frozen mug to the lovers of beer.

It was good.I was worried about the peated Malt aspect and orange peel but it was really well balanced and not a focal point I am now getting into the Shmaltz.

So Vegas now has a Total Wine (next to Fry's). My vodka was more expensive than my local Total Wine, but the Lagunitas and Sierra Nevada were a good bit cheaper.

#1169 1 year ago
Quoted from High_End_Pins:

I did have a great Sierra Nevada Narwhal earlier this week too.

I saw this in Vegas and should have picked some up as my local Total Wine doesn't have it.

Looks like something I would like. The only frog labels I have in my collection are old Toad and Bad Frog which the frog flips u off banned in some states.

Okay it isn't beer, but has anybody tried this stuff? I like it a lot.

Also not a beer but if anyone likes Honey Meads then this is a must! Viking Blod is a "Nordic honey wine with hibiscus and hops added. Based on a recipe from about year 1700."

Central waters makes great beer.
I had Utopias once around 10 years ago , I think at that time it was somewhere around 40% alchohol its kind of like a whiskey but its not distilled . I think it was getting stronger each year for a while as their yeast strain could handle more alchohol each year.

Well picked this up today, was like eating chocolate cake while sipping bourbon...in a good way. Wow.

Good Imperial Stout out of the VA mountains I believe aged in oak bourbon barrels.
Friend brought it by yesterday but it was warm so we drank other beers but after it chilled I gave it try today.

Living in Ohio, Pliny was one of those beers I wanted to not like. I would have to go to CA to get it and I wanted to prove the people wrong who rated it so high. How can this beer be so good? It is exceptional. At 8% it is a perfect DIPA. Hoppy, with a great malt backbone and non boozy for a double. Zombie Dust (Three Floyds) was the same thing. Wanted to not like it. A different style (APA) but exceptional as well. Interestingly, My favorite beer from Russian River is Blind Pig.

When I was last in CA, I had PtE--I thought it did not really live up to the hype. But Blind Pig? Now we're talking....
(And I had both at the famous Toronado Bar in SF.)

How is the CBS tasting? I never did have that flite I mentioned a few posts back. I am going to a CBS keg opening 10am Saturday, supposed to have all the BBA releases on tap, woohoo!

It was great. Very smooth given the ABV flavors were not quite as pronounced as I was expecting but like most stouts it developed more as it warmed.
This one is very good also. First time I have seen it down here.

Chris, you are getting some great Michigan beers down there. I just picked up a CBS and will let it age a bit. I have some Black Note, KBS from 2014.

Cheers!
