THANK YOU! I just moved to Pennsylvania from Wisconsin and these beer laws are bonkers. It's so stupid how many hoops I have to jump through to get a six pack.

Privatize the state liquor stranglehold and just watch how a well oil machine should operate.

I used to do a bit of travelling for work and was in Harrisburg for a week. Couldn't believe I had to buy beer in case quantities. Nuts! Happy for you guys that BS is going away.

I'm not sure on all the commotion, lots of good bottle shops here and there, breweries out the ass compared to ten years ago. Overall easier for everyone but also at the expense at the bottleshops who cared early in the game.

Its all about business freedom not restrictions.

Just completed a vertical of Thomas Hardy's Ale! Now have at least one bottle from every year it was produced back to 1968! If you're not familiar with this beer it's one of the few beers that continues to mature up to 25 years (almost like a wine)!

When I used to brew beer, I made some Barley Wine. Brewed in 1999. I still have about a case left as every year I will only drink a couple of them. I keep waiting for them to turn but so far, so good. After 17 years, the flavor is almost closer to a well-aged port than a beer.

Hhaha you must like your bmc then, remember how easy it was to get world class stouts, ipas, sours, 8-10 years ago? I remember lots of driving or having to purchase them from ebay, now you can walk to get them. You think your disto is going to stock the limited releases or give a shit about stuff that would cost them $100 a case just on the hopes of selling as singles? Their living is on BMC but they won't mind squeezing the little guys that took a chance out of business for a couple extra bucks in their pocket.

June/July is the plan to start opening them up! Also have a small vertical of Goose Island Bourbon County Barrel Stout (06-15) but my understanding is this beer only matures for up to 5 years. Also have read that it goes sour.

RobOOZE If you like the 60, try their 90 minute IPA. IPA's are not my preferred style; however, the 90 minute is very nice.

The bottleshops who cared early in the game will still get better allotments of limited releases and things like that. So there is still a benefit to supporting your area bottleshop. But I'll take the convenience of having more than one place in town to buy beer at any day.

Better allotments vs squeezed on the margin of every product. We can agree to disagree on who this is best for because its not in favor of the bottleshops/bars that put craft on the map. I'd rather pay more or drive an extra minute than to see those who supported get pushed out of business.

Was in Az. last week. Cool twist on the sign out front. Two Bros Brewing Co. Not too bad.

Awesome signs....starting to build my game room again. I would love to have signs like that in it. I used to have a hugh game room of 35 arcade machines, but I sold them all to collect more pinball machines.

#947 7 years ago

Every night after work I have a beer and play pinball for hours. It's my escape from reality for a bit.
