nice haul. I couldnt get a Rare or any variants but grabbed a few bcbs regular
--Jeff

Yeah, it wasn't easy. I was on a waiting list at my regular store. When I went in to pick up my 2 bottle limit this morning they had the Rare. Each store in their chain got 1 bottle of the Rare. I was just in the right place at the right time I guess lol. My wife stopped around town while doing errands and picked up the others. 1 bottle limit at most places, and the prices were crazy!

There are some nice things about visiting upstate-and-I-mean-waaaaay-upstate, NY...IMG_20151127_163410519.jpg

Law, I hope you're bringing some of that back to share . Also I made it to the beer store.

I wish, sales are generally limited to eight per person, Wednesdays only and even then you need a little luck. We hit two places and only got eight total between everyone on account of the holiday to split between six savvy beer drinkers. What's left isn't going to make it through the weekend unless someone sneaks away with one, shame on them.

If you have any requests though let me know and I'll keep an eye out.

Well can't quite start drinking these babies yet, but my custom craft beer advent calendar is ready to go. 11 friends and I are going to have a fun December enjoying these tasty treats!

I have a co-worker who does his own home brew. Occasionally he bring in some samples for me to take home.

He makes, by FAR, the best unfiltered wheat beer I have ever had. He calls it "Wheat Disaster", although I am not sure why. His other stuff is outstanding too. Yesterday he brought me a sampler case!

Octoberfest, Wheat Disaster (belgian white beer), Apricot wheat, raspberry wheat, Honey Lager and Double IPA. Will be a good weekend for sure!

I still have an original bottle before Budweisre A Busch bought them out. Goose use to be one of my favorites micro breweries but feel the taste is not the same since buy out.

Enjoying the doppelbock I made in Feb. Also made a sour at that time but not done yet.

Got this one from my brother in oregon for my birthday.

PM me with what you have and an offer and see if we can work something out! I actually am not a fan of the Barley. The guy offered it up to me so I took it!

I have a bottle of the BCBS for the years 2007-2015. Have a gentleman that might sell me a 2006!

A lot of people say the same about Rolling Rock! After AB bought RR and moved production to NJ people complained the taste was different! Now the old Rolling Rock plant produces beers like Guinness Blonde, Iron City, Southampton brands and Stoney's

It's better than Shiner. I don't particularly miss Yuengling, but I'm pretty sure it's the only beer I've ever bought in a 24 pack.

I'm not a fan of Shiner either. Be careful sharing that opinion in Texas though

Trilogybeer by way of Centerflank tipped me off on Calfkiller. Definitely my favorite regional brew now. Wish they would sell bottles for home consumption!

Do you pour that first one on pancakes or drink it straight? Actually, after reading the reviews on BA, I'm going to look for that at my next Total Wine visit. Sounds really good.

It's certainly a sipper but very good. The coffee and maple flavors were very forward. It was split between a few of us so I had about half of a glass. Definitely a beer to try!

National beer day, opened up this one. Not bad but expected much more. Usually English beers are my favorite but this one is nothing special, not bad but missing something. Strange not more beers posts for national beer day.

I thought the same thing! A very weak beer. Once the collectors all get a bottle this beer will disappear!

That Central Waters is from Wisconsin , they make quite a few different styles that are good . Their barley wine is very good .
