    Quoted from trunchbull:

    Wait, what did Python do?

He's responsible for the muddled mess that is Popeye, which is thought to be the beginning of the end of pinball at Williams when WMS forced distributors to take that game even though no one wanted to buy it or play it, and then introducing close-out pricing of games. The snowball rolls from there.

He's also responsible for causing the closing of Capcom by wasting tons of money on go-nowhere projects like that stupid titty game and making bad decisions in general, like Flipper Football.

Yes and no. I agree with you in general, but have you ever met Python? Anyone that hired him had to know some serous wacky shit could go down. I always imagine how the whole zingy-bingy thing went down at Capcom HQ; jesus must have been like "Gung Ho."

Yeah, he was a character for sure. Maybe he wasn't so wacky when he started at Williams. Also he took a massive paycut to work there - that probably helped. Then after that he was just "around."

Balcer has at least 3 home runs with WOZ, TSPP, and TH. BW is a great layout too.

Gomez and Ritchie are the most boring, I.e. Cookie cutter fan layouts.

Oursler is the weakest to me.

Borg and Nordman are the best and most creative to me.

Python Anghelo did a lot of weird things. Especially most of his "art" is plain ugly.

But at least it was art. Most of the games he was involved in had a lot of style and personality, a sort of edginess... a really unique vision... and while they weren't all winners the pinball world is worse off without him.

I know he has a lot of fans, but his art was always kind of iffy to me as well. He for sure had his own style and flare, though.
