I look forward to your post admonishing Musk for lying about “funding secured”.

Quoted from Brijam:I think it would have been better for him not to have made the tweet, I think I already said that in the other forum. Feel better?
Not if you are going to call someone a “liar” for voicing an opinion.
Tesla corporate governance keeps getting more and more surreal.
Drinking coffee, thumbing through Twitter, and there it is....... an official(?) announcement - late on a Friday night, after markets have closed - that Tesla will remain public.
I clicked the link to read the whole statement. It’s pretty clear that the whole hiring of financial advisors, statements put out by the board, and now this Tweet/letter are COMPLETELY designed as CYA to cover the “funding secured” fiasco.
The board also claims they fully stand behind Musk.
I can’t help but think that now besides the shorts suing Tesla, now there will be longs feeling betrayed by this whole “taking Tesla private” shit show and jump into the lawsuit foray.
Beyond bizarre.
I have a Volt and I can tell you the cold is the Achilles heel of the EVs.
The heating element sucks the battery down fast. Based upon my observations, about the same amount as driving. Claims that the heater "barely impact" EV range are pure fantasy.
A related observation - I thought running the AC in the summer would also degrade battery charge quickly, but I was wrong. It barely impacts mileage. Yesterday I got 50.3 miles on battery running the AC the whole time. I'm pretty happy with that.
Norway sales - I have asked co-workers from Norway about this. The short answer is - HEAVILY subsidized. To the point where "the price is the same as a regular ICE car. Which would you rather have for the same price? A Tesla or a regular car?"
Also, there was a myriad of other perks rattled off that EV owners got and the regular serfs didn't, like free ferry lifts for the car, free parking, preferential parking etc..
The problem is, that gravy train can only go on so long. Did anyone see what happened to Tesla sales in Denmark after their subsidy gravy train ended? YoY sales plunged 94%. That is not a typo.
Lastly - kudos to whomever put "I don't plan on living in Oregon or Canada anytime soon" in the poll. I got a good laugh out of that one.
Model 3 sales are strong NOW......with the pre-orders.
What happens to sales once all of the pre-orders are fulfilled?
Also, how many of those pre-orders were banking on getting a Model 3 for $27,500? And what happens when they find out they won't be able to get it for that?
Quoted from IdahoRealtor:Bad day for TSLA. Seems like their financial trouble is very real.
"Stormy day in Longville"
Quoted from Richthofen:Tesla stock is still trading above $300 a share
Check again.
Well the Model Y is completely underwhelming. Looks exactly like the Model 3, with $12,000 added to the sticker price.
Quoted from Luckydogg420:What were you expecting for a small crossover suv?
Something that looked different than the Model 3. The way Elon originally hyped the project up, I don't think that expectation is out of line. I have looked through about a dozen reviews this morning, and all of them express varying levels of disappointment.
