#3 4 years ago

I bet!!!

I was thinking "I want a pony!". But then thinking about it I suppose a heavily routed Tron might get there. Good on ya for taking a try at it.

Yea, really. Notice how Tron Pros have just recently dropped in price?

The prices have now factored in a new run of Tron games.

hehe, that statement matches with your avatar perfectly!!

Don't worry. Trekkie may just rehash this thread as exhibit A in pinball armeggedon.

After its all said and done he will have a collection of A titles while spending just $380 to buy them all.

Standing on the bones of our cold dead bodies. WAAHAHA.

Um...don't get bent because you threw out a fishing hook and you didn't get a bite.

#19 4 years ago

Oh boy....here we go again about the mighty Tron Premium VE's that will saturate the market and drop the price of modded Pro's and LE's...... wash rinse dry repeat

Why is it I am getting bent about anything? I even said I was throwing out a line, I was quite up front. Now a bunch want to give me shit for asking? At least I have the BALLS to put out a price and not some blind WTB ad with no price hoping to get a sucker.

Plus you have ZERO clue as to what is in my inbox with offers.

Real simple, if you don't ask , you never know.

What we have here is a failure to communicate.

On one hand, vdojaq was just putting a feeler out there to see if anyone wanted a quick sale for a Tron. Never hurts to ask, so I can't really blame him. I think it would have been a little more realistic if he came closer to 5k, but if 4 is what he can afford, and a Tron is what he wants, doesn't hurt to give it a shot.

On the other hand, vdojaq, because your price was so low, you did in fact open yourself up to a whole boatload of ball busting--which would be much easier to stomach if someone actually ended up offering you a Tron for 4k.

I don't consider it the price police here on Pinside. Just a bunch of guys who think they know more than the next guy and love to bust each other's balls.

You can sign me up for the second part of that, but I know I'm a friggin' idiot.

Agreed all around...
And unfortunately one lesson to learn is that if you are looking for a bargain, Pinside ain't the place for it.

With that said, how much you wanna sell me that sweet TAF for?

#25 4 years ago

I would think a heavily routed Tron pro would go for ~4k

HUO ~5k +

Modded HUO ~$5500

Do these even exist? Seems like beater Trons don't come up very often.

#28 4 years ago

I'm really surprised at the flack OP is taking. Would anyone even consider paying 5k for a routed beat to crap Non-modded Tron pro? 4k seems right for a routed example, and there are some Trons that went on rout - I've seen three...

Cite proof, or else you're just guessing.

Problem is they are still earning well! Mine just crossed the $17k mark...

I would not sell mine. I love it too much.

Good luck with the hunt! I am sure you can find one for around 5k.

Agreed. Pinside seems to be a pretty darn efficient market pricing model for pins, with some edge/attitude included free of charge. Throw out a high selling price? Won't sell, plus you get some crap thrown your way. Throw out a low selling price? The vultures swoop in quickly to take it and comment on what a great deal it is. Either way you get a bunch of data points included in the postings that generally help to steer the group to the "groupthink" price bandwidth for pins.

$17k! Wow, very impressive. If you purchased that say back in 2011 and had it on route ever since, 50 cents per play, that'd be over 30 plays per day...

Tron pro in the wild in Austin is $0.75c per game.

Tron pro in B'ham, .75/game. It's their 2nd one. They sold the 1st one for a very retail price after it earned plenty along the way. Reminds me, I need to check the audits on the current one.....

BBB...BBH. You guys are only 1 letter off from each other, sounds like you'll be able to come to an accord...

Trolly McTrollerson has decided. Cite proof, or else you're just being your usual trolly self.

The resale value on pros has dropped.

Markets are very good at predicting the future.

BTW, why are you still stalking me??? Do you honestly have nothing better to do with your life?

Your understanding of forums is as dopey as your understanding of "the pinball market".

People write things.
Then other people respond.

You insulting my life based on what I'm writing on this forum is hypocritical, as you yourself are also writing things on this forum. The difference is, you contribute nothing & only post about games losing value.

If posting on Pinside = "nothing better to do with your life", then you are guilty of the same while you simultaneously insult every single person on this forum. So - on behalf of everyone on Pinside that you just insulted - F you, too.

I am hoping vdojaq finds his seller! I guess most think 4K is too low, but what if someone contacts vdojaq and says, "I can meet you half way between my price of 5k and yours. How about $4500?" See? Both parties would be happy (assuming 4K is vdojaq's starting price).

See, we get annoyed by CL ads that say, "WILL BUY YOUR PINS!" every week, but vdojaq is not spamming Pinside. If I had 4K, I'd be doing the same thing!

Good luck vdojaq! A fellow Tron enthusiast wishes you well (and let me know if your seller has another one for me)!
