I recently got my Who Dunnit back that I sold 5 years ago and I wanted to give it more noir. This game doesnt get enough love. The game takes place all over a metro city where you're taking cabs and trains, going to a casino, rooftop chases and more. I wanted to give mine some more grit and expand its setting, so I made a new translite, artblades, rule cards and a new plastic for Tony's Palace that has more atmosphere and ties into the translite. An important part of the original that I wanted to keep in the new translite was the characters which are the foundation of the game. I only changed the gumshoe and kept all the original character art and placed them in the windows of the background buildings. To add more continuity and cohesiveness to the new look I gave Tony's Palace an address on Boardwalk Blvd (where the casinos are) and added an exit sign to the artblades to get the cab there. i added a red LED strip on the top of the elevator ramp that shines down and gives a central heart to that shot, as well as adding a couple of 555 sockets and flex head LEDs like goose necks. In the GI just up along each edge of the playfield I matched the gradient in the title text of Who Dunnit with warm whites at the flippers, then red, purple and blue but still keeping the center and playable area lighted with warm white. Im uploading the rule card art as well as the tonys plastic art for anyone that wants to make their own. Pm if you interested in anything and thanks for looking.
